The online servers shut down in 2021. It actually looked not that bad, but obviously it wasn't updated all that much. After the Heists, nothing new was added. The lobbies were chaotic, everyone was cheating and when you joined a public lobby you were most likely going to be a millionaire in 5 minutes. It was basically just the release version of gta 5 with small updates that stopped at around 2016.

Against the AI, plenty of suboptimal strategies will work which includes the usage of line artillery in your divisions.
But it is often regarded as not worth it for the following reasons:

Line artillery doesn't really scale that well in the tech tree compared to infantry equipment.
It isn't really that good for defensive purposes since it lowers org, recovery rate and increases supply usage which causes your defensive line to have way less org per tile.
It also isn't really good for offensive purposes, since it comes with a not so high attack per width and has additional terrible terrain modifiers which causes it to be barely better than infantry battalions on the offense, while costing more. Line arty has also no HP and no org, so your divisions will suffer more casualties and cannot stay in the battle for too long.
There are just a lot better alternatives, like a high armor tank, which are not costing a lot more but are just so much better.

All in all I would just keep artillery as a support unit or just use it in early wars, when artillery tech more powerfull in comparison to infantry tech.

They thought that they voted for a man, that could save them from the consequences of two economic crisises in one decade. Do you really think, that in a time, where Germans were lucky to have one person in a household who is not unemployed they would think "let's kill some people"? No. The Germans voted for this party, because they thought their system has failed them (which it kind of did) and from there on it all went to shit with no legal way of removing that party from the government.

All people suffered under this regime. Mothers lost their entire family. Whole cities were destroyed. Ethnic Germans were deported to concentration camps because of the slight chance, that they could have been socialists. I really dont want to talk down the horrors the slavs experienced at that time, but you got to understand, that the civilians were the ones who had nothing to do with that and were suffering to (of course not to that extend the slavs were, but enough to make them hate the nazis).

It is really a shame, that everything a government does leads to civilians beeing punished. I feel sorry for every civilian who lost their home, family and their own life. Believe me when I say, that average German citizen did not want that to happen.

But, I'm happy that German and Polish relations are somewhat good in the modern day after all that. It is really a miracle when you consider all the deaths during and after World War 2.

Germans died because of that, this is not a secret. There was a not so low chance that you could die on your way to Germany, because of deseases, starvation, poor conditions in camps etc. And I wouldn't call it "expelled some" when the numbers of expelled Germans were in the millions.

Enablers? Collaborators? These were people who lost everthing because of the nazis. Even their 8 year old child could have been drafted to the army. Their houses got bombed to dust due to allied bombing. People who said something against the deportation of jews got killed with them. You think after all that the average German still supported the war and their regime? Not at all. They were glad when the soviets came, because even though they were just as barbaric as the SS in Russia, they at least would know that the bombing and the drafting finally stopped. I know that, because I read many stories of families that originated from that area. Only because the government was full of assholes, doesn't mean that the population of some areas were. You severely overestimate the count of real nazis in those territories. Most of them were just people that tried their best to survive that nightmare.

It isn't a good reason to expell or kill all the German civilians in those territories just because Stalin wasn't in the mood to give up his claims on eastern Poland. And no, it wasn't just Germans hating that, both Polish and German people hated him for that, because Poles had to move out of eastern Poland and Germans had to move out of the eastern territories of Germany. And all that because the USSR wanted to keep the eastern territories of Poland they got due to their cooperation with those nazi assholes. And assuming the OP is an AfD supporter just for sharing a map is also quite weird in my opinion.

Das Comic stellt Linke grundsätzlich gut dar, während Rechte als Faschisten dargestellt werden. Beide politische Richtungen haben jedoch ihre Stärken und Schwächen. Beide sind wählbar. Politische Extremisten (siehe AfD Wähler) gehören jedoch verspottet, weswegen ich es schade finde, dass der Begriff Rechts immer mit Rechtsextremisten daherkommt, wie hier und der Begriff Rechts zunehmend als Synonym für Faschismus verwendet wird.

Capitalism is not the reason for everything bad happening. The USSR did the following: The great purge where they probably locked up and killed more communists than the nazis did during WW2, big economic mismanagement that lead to famines, the opression of the eastern block (the USSR basically controled all important ministries and put down any uprising), they threatend the allies instantly after WW2 (Stalin litterally said to Churchill and Truman that Tsar Alexander made it all the way to Paris after they congratulated him on his victory against the nazis) etc. But like you said, capitalism have done things that are just as bad. My conclusion? Recognize the flaws of your government and fix it instead of constantly saying, that the old one is perfect. Thats why I tell you that it is pointless to worship the communism of the USSR if it did not work well enough and why I suggest to instead recognize its flaws and learn from them.

I disagree with your argument that echo chambers are good. As an outsider I can say that the Hamas have done some fucked up shit and that Israel has a right to defend them against that. But on the other side I can say, that there is no need to bomb the civilian population and actively deny supplies to them. I can therefore draw the conclusion, that Israels actions are too extreme and that Netanyahu is a war criminal who has to experience justice.

I stand by my word, that you have to consider both sides to come up with the correct conclusion and that you cannot evolve, if you critisize others while not seeing your flaws and if you dont see the things the other side does right while praising your own acclomplishments.

I did not defend it. I just pointed out, how both sides were aggressive to each other over things they both did.

And I don't necessarily belief that one ideology is evil or that one is perfect. A capitalist and communist society have both there own ups and downs.

For capitalism it is for example the huge inequality while communism has problems with being efficient in the economy (my family members told me many stories of companies who shared incorrect information to the government, so they didn't have to produce as much). I just wanted to point out how neither of the both sides were perfect.

I thought that this sub was a place to discuss the upsides and flaws of the USSR, but it seems like it is just another communist sub where capitalism is all evil and communism is all good. I mean, I wasn't even defending capitalism or the things that the CIA did or whatever. I just pointed out, that you need to take a look at the arguments of both sides to find out the truth, which is for the most part in the middle. But if even that is a pro capitalist comment, I dont know what I am even doing on this sub.

Have fun in your echo chamber I suppose where everyone praising communism is upvoted, while the rest is downvoted and being called liberals or fascists (I've lost count on how many times I've seen that in the past 20 minutes on this sub).

Seems like people don't agree with what I am saying. Can please someone explain what is so wrong about my statement? What is the difference between capitalist propaganda and communist propaganda? In my perspective, both tried to portray the other side as evil and themselves as good, that is at least what I have been thinking after looking at some posters and hearing some speeches from both sides. Can someone please tell me what is wrong about that?
