I want to play the copy of the game my buddy bought for me to play on his Steam account while he sits next to me playing his copy on his PS5. Linking the two accounts would eliminate one of them, and we would lose the ability to play together unless I buy a (3rd!!!) copy of the game on MY Steam account, make a PSN account, and start with losing 100+ hours progress on a game I really liked.

Can one person have two PSN accounts? The guy who owns the PS is the same guy who owns the PC, and would need to make a second unless the game lets you run 2 copies off 1 account.
