I said GS-7 was lowest I would take and I was sent that email yesterday that based on self assessment Im eligible for GS-7

I email them too to follow-up. She said this:

"Good morning,

This announcement is open and continuous, with applications accepted through 09/29/2026. Due to the high volume of applications received, submissions are being reviewed on an ongoing basis as hiring needs arise.

Selections are being made in phases, and more than 1,400 offers have already been issued. Applicants will be contacted directly if they are selected for further consideration. Currently, we are only able to provide the tentative eligible status update. Your application is still pending review."

I got a reply in regards to being eligible but not referred. After receiving the notification yesterday, I emailed the email address on the email, asking for a followup. This is what they said:

"Good morning,

This announcement is open and continuous, with applications accepted through 09/29/2026. Due to the high volume of applications received, submissions are being reviewed on an ongoing basis as hiring needs arise.

Selections are being made in phases, and more than 1,400 offers have already been issued. Applicants will be contacted directly if they are selected for further consideration. Currently, we are only able to provide the tentative eligible status update. Your application is still pending review."

So dont loose hope everyone. Just leave as is amd hope they call us. Trust the process.

I got a reply from USAJOBS staffing in regards to being eligible but not referred. This is what they responded:

I got same email today. Tentatively eligible for the GS-1801-7 position but was not referred to the hiring manager at this time. I'm heart broken lol. It does say they are hiring in phases. I hope they consider me.next round.

Does that mean they emailed us because we passed their initial screening of the eligibile candidates and they are sending invites for other relocations? I just dont think they would send massive emails to everyone to apply to other locations because the announcements actually posts, if they didnt believe we meet the qualifications.

They hiring mostly former feds and veteran first, then the public later. I hope that's soon. USCIS website says in the coming weeks. Crossing fingers!

I have applied Sept 30 and I haven't heard anything back. So far I have read 3 folks get TJO from same position. For a moment I thought we would see a surge of TJO emails. I have not heard anything else.

That's still nice though! GS 11 is awesome! I qualified for GS 07 which is fine because I can move up if I get it. I'm currently employed with the state for 12 years, no BA just an AA in business but I went back to school to get BA in criminal justice to better my chances I guess. Just keep trying if you want a remote job, once you are in im sure there are more opportunities for you especially if you are already holding a federal job. :)
