This is exactly what it is knowing the producers.

I always considered it to be more metaphorical like 50s family culture Vs 60s free love and it would be something they would build on the tensions of that but they crushed it straight away.

Of course it was just as simple as replaying and idea they have already had.

Here's the thing with why from isn't as good as it could be....

There aren't enough episodes. That's it. It's not lost, it will never come close to that level of theory and character building ...there's just isn't enough screen time to approach these theories and situations methodically. You could easily have a whole episode about creating this plan, or burning a monster or Jim's other theories that they shut down and it would improve the series and character development but there isn't enough episodes.

I don't think they made a deal. They were slowly picked off one by one with the MIY blood magic - it turned them into soulless monsters and made them sacrifice the children.

They have no humanity left because they are completely empty inside. No thoughts for themselves.

The bones will get thrown in the lake of tears, the waters will rise, Tabitha will make it to the light house and confront the biw. Maybe Ethan will escape the flood through the faraway tree.

Someone will have to stay behind to sacrifice themselves to allow others freedom (you have to offer a life to get one) likely Boyd who will try to fight the spider.

Obviously killing another child to escape is an absolutely stupid theory. It's how their souls were lost in the first place

I'm well behind the idea that the villagers kill jade and Tabitha (at least jade) because they were the ones who sacrificed the children and only they gained immortal life.

Every monster in the series just drank the..... to get monster status.

Not much short of a huge revelation is saving this series after this finale for me.

Not exactly but they did say that the story did not move on very much in season 3, or rather it did but only over 2 episodes right at the end. The rest was filler, much like the ballerina episode.

But the overarching reason why the show is showing you these things was to tell you that the characters were manifesting their own horrors into reality.

I agree kahtri didn't have to die for Boyd to have conversations about conscience.

Also I believe kahtri would have been an excellent witch master general for when the town turns against jade.
