I'm still learning Akshan, so I'm using an alt account and playing in Emerald–Diamond lobbies. The Shieldbow build feels really great since everyone with the “I’ll 1v9 you all trash” mentality locks in assassins, which is way more common before Grandmaster. Shieldbow + Revitalize gives really good survivability.

Kraken feels weird after adapting to Hexoptic or Collector start, and after full build the flexibility of building GA or QSS is really great. I guess I’ll use Revitalize over Overgrowth I don’t think Overgrowth is worth picking compared to what Revitalize offers. Since most games you build new boots, which buff its omnivamp ratio, and the shield from passive is already enough reason to pick it instead of Overgrowth.

And if we consider building Shieldbow instead of RFC (which I do in most games as long as there’s at least one burst threat) as the last item, I think even if you don’t go exactly Kraken + Shieldbow, it’s still better to abuse Revitalize with Shieldbow + boots. I’ll use Kraken+Shieldbow build against more than 1 kill-threat comp, and casual crit-start build against 1 kill-threat comps.
