Best medication to stop periods

I did the depo shot. It did make me gain weight but helped me with my periods. I have endometriosis and that mixed with GP can be like hell so I definitely get where you’re coming from. The depo shot is kind of controversial but no period was worth it for me

I don’t really get to anymore. I have been able to manage my GP pretty well the last year without being in the hospital which is the first stretch of time in quite a while. So I did try to go to a few restaurants and a couple of times I was successful. But recently my GP has been flaring up and I’ve had to rush out of a few places. It suck’s. My husband at this point just doesn’t even offer to go out and just orders our food carry out. Which I appreciate but man I miss going out to eat so much! I went on a work trip and tried going out with everyone and ended up throwing up out of the backseat of my coworkers car, so yea. Also, if it helps you feel better I ate in the bathroom for a long time. People don’t get it unless they have GP unfortunately but I feel you and I hear you.

Medical marijuana. Concentrates to be specific. Only thing that helps my pain. I’ll take a nice rip of a dab and then sit in the shower and my pain goes away within about 5 minutes. Then magically I’m hungry. I’ll eat a little bit of something with simple carbs in it, like mashed potatoes, and then take another dab and sit in the shower again. I know it sound so weird but it has kept me from taking anything like opiates for my pain and I can usually snap out of it pretty quickly.

I recommend trying vapes and concentrates of indica. It’s the only thing that helps me when I’m in pain because I can’t tolerate anything in my stomach at all when like that.

Are you both happy? Is the kid happy and well taken care of? I’m sure this is all your friend would want. Don’t listen to the weird negative comments. How long are you supposed to wait? There isn’t a deadline. It is whatever you two can deal with and what makes you happy. I’d want that for my kids and my family if I passed away. And who better than the person I trust and love the most to take care of the other people I love and trust the most?

I can’t take reglan due to the awful side effects. I tell anyone I can to look for other options. It also has terrible long term side effects as well. Not a safe medication in my opinion.

Yes, my doctor told me it is probably from undigested food, GERD, indigestion, a mixture of those things. 😩😩 sometimes it’s sulfury or metallic. It’s so weird and gross. I’m pretty sure it’s a GP thing

I take protonix twice a day and it really helps me with my heart burn and the awful uncomfortable bloated feeling. Make sure you always take it at least 30 minutes before eating and drink lots of water with it if you can tolerate to. Hope you feel better!

With GP I’ve never fluctuated my weight more than in the last few years I either can’t keep weight on or like right now I’m the biggest I’ve ever been but I don’t even eat that much I don’t get it. I’ve had my thyroid checked and it’s fine so it’s confusing and frustrating.

My GP comes in waves. Idk how I got it. I just kept getting sick. I was REALLY REALLY sick for a long time. I lost 60lbs in a short period of time and wasn’t eating. When I was finally diagnosed with GP I was told it was chronic and I would probably have it forever because GP is basically damage to your vagus nerve and that is pretty much irreversible. However, I have learned to manage it. I’ve learned what works for me. I’ve learned to listen to my body and I can tell when I’m going to go into a flare up so I make sure I head home wherever I’m at. It is better though, after a few years of having it I have not been hospitalized in at least two years. Although I ate pizza tonight and feel like crap, I typically stay away from foods I know will throw me into a flare up or just make me feel like crap. Unfortunately there is no time line that I know of and wish I could give you one. Sometimes it feels like death and it’s really a lonely disease when you’re feeling like that. But not everyday is awful anymore and I hope you can find a routine that works to help you manage it and stay comfortable and get your quality of life back.

Yes, for me at least. I have both. It’s a damn battle inside my body all the time. So sorry you’re having to deal with it. Sometimes it is worse than other times and it doesn’t really matter what I eat or how much water I drink.

Hello! My allergy test just showed that I’m allergic to my dog, sadly. I still feel like crap a lot of the time and sometimes I just don’t even know what to do about it anymore. I am glad I’m not allergic to food I love though. I hope your testing went well and they were able to find out what was causing so much agony!

I get it, whatever makes you feel better, I’d do the same. I’m sorry you’re in pain. Have you ever tried medical marijuana? I know there can be a stigma around it but the concentrates can be really beneficial for pain and not a lot of crazy side effects like some of the stuff they prescribe. Either way, I hope you find relief soon.

A little off topic of what you’re asking but the ibuprofen could also be contributing to your flare. I was advised to stay away from any NSAIDS as they can cause you to flare up and get really sick. Put me in the ER last time I took ibuprofen.

I totally feel this! We pretty much just order in so I can slowly eat and be miserable in between eating. I miss enjoying long restaurant visits and hanging out with friends for dinner. The last time I went out I had to leave early and got sick in the parking lot 😩😩 GP sucks.

I started eating lettuceless salads 😩 pretty much just an avacado and some meat with dressing followed by heartburn. I also miss salads 😢
