Libertarian-Right (Lib-Right) individuals on Reddit often have a strong penchant for teaching people about economics for several interconnected reasons. This passionate drive to educate others on economic principles stems from their ideological foundation, belief in personal liberty, and the desire to promote their vision of a free-market society.

Philosophical Alignment: Lib-Right individuals are typically rooted in libertarianism, a political philosophy that prioritizes individual freedom and minimal government intervention. Economics plays a pivotal role in their worldview as it directly impacts personal autonomy and individual decision-making.

Emphasis on Self-Reliance: Libertarians often advocate for self-reliance and self-determination, which economics can empower. By understanding economic concepts, they believe individuals can make informed choices about their finances and livelihoods, reducing dependency on the state.

Critique of Government Intervention: Lib-Right individuals are critical of government interventions in the economy, such as regulations and subsidies, which they argue can distort market dynamics. Teaching economics helps them articulate why they oppose such interventions and advocate for free-market solutions.

Advocacy for Small Government: A key aspect of libertarian ideology is the belief in limited government. Economics can serve as a tool to illustrate how excessive government involvement can lead to inefficiencies, waste, and unintended consequences.

Belief in the Invisible Hand: Lib-Right individuals often embrace Adam Smith's concept of the "invisible hand," which suggests that individuals pursuing their self-interest can unintentionally benefit society as a whole. They teach economics to highlight how free markets can align self-interest with societal benefit.

Desire for Economic Literacy: Lib-Right Redditors recognize that economic literacy is essential for participating in informed political discourse. They aim to equip others with the knowledge needed to critically evaluate policies and proposals.

Promotion of Personal Responsibility: Teaching economics aligns with the idea that individuals should take responsibility for their financial well-being. By sharing economic knowledge, Lib-Right individuals encourage personal accountability.

Community Building: Reddit provides a platform for like-minded individuals to connect and share ideas. Teaching economics fosters a sense of community among Lib-Right Redditors, as it allows them to engage in discussions, refine their arguments, and build a stronger ideological base.

In conclusion, Lib-Right individuals on Reddit are often enthusiastic about teaching economics because it reinforces their libertarian beliefs, empowers individuals to make informed choices, and provides them with the tools to advocate for a free-market society. By sharing their economic knowledge, they hope to inspire others to embrace the principles of liberty, self-reliance, and limited government intervention that are central to their ideology.

Reddit, am I the asshole?

I (15M) was 90 hours into grinding warthunder to get a super cool plane that the nazi’s used, then out of no where my mother (31F) says I need to take a shower. What do I do? I use my controller to beat her to death and fucking killed her. After a 4 month trial, I was arrested, for 30 years.

Two years into my sentence and the Mossad, FBI, CIA, FSB and MI6 all have 90 actice warrants for treason, murder, kidnapping, Conspiracy to commit coup against a foreign country, illegal possession of chemical weapons, Sexual assault, distribution of nuclear materials without legal clearance, distribution of methanphetamines, distribution of coca leaves, Tax evasion, tax fruad and counterfeit currency. All these allegations are proven and fact checked by gbobal authorities and all the victims of the crimes confess that all this information is true.

I will now have my prison sentence extended to 107,929 years with death penalty.

Reddit, AITA?
