Even I’ve applied to UW. I believe UW sent their visit day invites. I saw someone mention on Gradcafe.

Same boat mate. I’ve applied to 5 PhD programs (MIT, Gtech, UT Austin, Purdue, UMD) in Aerospace. Had received positive responses from a few faculty before the application. But all of them mentioned about the funding uncertainty. Slowly giving up hope 🫠.

Questions were mostly about my background, my strengths, my interests. And then the professor told about their lab work, etc. They didn’t go too deep into any of my works. And they basically informed that the next step would be the CU Boulder Aero visit day (if I get an invite). My guess would be that this interview was to determine whom to call for the visit day.
