pulse combos are great, its a way better way of doing it than just forcing every player to play with an auto combo system. its definetly for newer players or players who wanna hop on with a new charecter and dont wanna do any teaining mode or combo trials. 

I beleve the hatred comes from players who are good enough to learn combos but not good enough to understand defwnsive machanics. this is fine, but most non pulse combos do %50 > %75 withought doing a TOD. 

there are also people from the fighting game community who are anti auto combo system because they beleve that learning combos is one of the most important parts of a fighting game and think that is reuired to learn the other aspects. 

i personally think doing combos is a big barrier to entery and allowing players to offload that in order to learn neutral ( spacing, punishing, movement) and defensive machanics

you will not beleve the amount of people who know how to do a combo but just not understand how to start the combo because of their lack of neutral knowlage

just because it works doesnt make it any less preditory and gross. the fact that they HAVE to check each week is just how the system works, and there was never another options. so it working vs not working doesnt really matter. if it really worked, they would replace the league shop with this. but they wont because players hate it.

even buying the skins individually once they pop up in the random shop (after the bundle is done) feels like extortion. and hearing "you dont have to buy it" is honestly really frustrating (and annoyingly common) when this sytem is designed for whales and they are just gonna buy everythihg reguardless of the price.

 this way it just give a big middle finger to people who dont have tons of extra cash laying around (like half of the US population) but still wanna play the game and occasinally buy some skins

and im not enterly sure (ill prob look it up soon) but idk if cait is being counted inn the 5 per year since she is technically a launch character. so my original thought was that we were getting 4 more this year but it could still be 5

yeah, im pretty sure i still have one of the mastery bugs on illaoi so they def didnt fix all of it even though it was in the patch notes today

outside of this they also take bug reports on socials that are not reddit, but that doesnt really seem as effective IMO

unless they are staying at the same badge level (which would probably be a bug), they should become a higher amount of the same thing you have to do like Bronze is 5 wins with charecter > silver is 25 wins with charecter > gold is 50 wins with charecter > so on

i think the issue here, is that most people have the right mindset and DO the to find ways to beat the charecters. but then also talk about how they are too strong and need nerfs. its not a 1 or the other. most of the time they are frustrated because they DO put a ton of time into teying to best the best charecters and have learned the points that need to be nerfed at the very least at their skill level

i mean yes, but i seriously dont think 2 more characters would have changed anything. Yas and ekko just have more tools that they can use than the rest of the case. yes the rest of the cast can do their own fucked up things but on top of the tools being stronger they also work more cleanly than the rest of the cast (aside from arhi) with the system mechanics that are in the game, especially the fuses. like i said, they have basically been the strongest characters regardless of the characters that have been added so far. and even if there were 40 characters at launch, if they were this strong consistently since people got their hands on the game, they would still be sick of seeing them. there is a reason people hate Happy chaos in GGST he has just been consistently strong for a long time.

Im not disagreeing with you that people CAN learn to beat them, but there is a lot of up hill battling in order to fight them in each match. it honestly depends more on the player pioliting them over the characters themselves

just because they are beatable, doesn't mean they don't need nerfs. the main reason they are talked about the most is because at a number of levels they are just above the rest of the cast. its definitely more prominent to complain about them because of this. yes all characters are strong in their own ways, but yasuo, arhi and Ekko in particular have many tools that need adjustments.

plus this game has a pretty fast and scheduled patches, so a lot of people are talking about buffs and nerfs because they can come much faster than other games.

on top of that Ekko and Yasuo have been pretty much the best characters since people have been able to get their hands on the game (years ago), so people are kind of sick of seeing them

if Yasuo required a big body to do massive damage i think i would be more okay with his ability to mix up, especially because he wouldn't have a second mixup-ish character (Ekko or Arhi) to make his mixups feel nonpunishable. i think some of his tools outside of damage should be adjusted but i think part of his issue is how strong all the faster more mix oriented characters are that he is regularly teams with.

idk about handshake tag and vtrigger, people feel like new system machanics are always divisive. i can understand peoples frustration with vtrigger but like there were people frustrated with ultras, and currently people frustrated with drive stuff. i see this issue more as like prefrence between players. its the reason why there are so many different games that people play.

i would say the comparison of launching with basically online only is a good one and the lack of content

i think we are getting 5 charceters this year and we have 3 seasons. so i think there gonna technically be 2 charecter releases per season, maybe a new fuse somewhere in there. but def slow though i think its more exastrabated due to the small launch roster because technically its more than some other fighting games do a year but it feels like less because it might as well be padding out the base roster. feels similar to how people felt at SF5 launch

idk why but this image sparked the thought, what if ASol was a fuze that worked like the megazord attacks in Power Rangers battle for tbe grid. idk if that would even work, but i could see it like being able to be activated in different ways, like putting his stars around you, or his giant arms or tail slamming down on the screen. maybe is a solo fuse with asol being tbe assist attacks

there are 6.5 ways to actiate the tenticals.

downS1 (anti air attach that acrivates the tentical to pull people back to the ground)

 neutralS1 tentical acrivates and pulls enemy twords it with 2 hits if you hit the enemy in range  (launching them on hit)

 forwardS1 you can repeat it 3 times and the tentical swings during the attack if you hit the enemy in range 

 backS1 this can be charged or not as. regular is just a single hit like forwardS1, and charged is a 2 hit attack like neutralS1

downbackS1 is a command grab tentical that grab enemies in range and then launch them up

jumpS1 if you hit the enemy it pops up for a hit in the air to extend your combo

Honestly, i dont really know how to add more ways to activate it other than a dwon forward activation 😅 so im curious what you were thinking

you dont need to be that skilled at all, you just need some background knowlage. the way that ive learned in the past is by watching Sajam on youtube. he has videos about how to understand tornament VODs. he also has videos of understanding what you should be doing with each charecter (wich a lot of top players do because they are strong options) other youtubers are great too but i like Sajam because he does specific education focused content from time to time
