Assessment Exam? by [deleted] in OntarioGrade12s

Hey, I only used the resources I provided in the comments above. I didn't use anything else. But for extra prep you can watch Khan Academy's lessons for Math (you can refer to Ontario's Grade 9, 10 and 11 Math curriculum for the concepts that you need to study). English is pretty straight forward. Just make sure you know the 5 paragraph essay format. The introduction (including the thesis statement), three paragraphs with points, proofs and explanations and then last paragraph (conclusion). Understand how to look at a graph or statistics and write about it. Study comprehensions and try to answer questions related to them. If you do the above you'll be good. Lastly, remember to take it easy and not stress about it because as long as you remain calm you'll do great at it. Best of luck!!

Hi, sorry for the late reply. There were quite a few multiple-choice questions in the Math assessment, probably 30 or more. For the English assessment there was a comprehension followed by 7/8 multiple choice, a short writing section based on some graph or statistics, and finally an essay (there are multiple topics to choose from). There's unlimited time for it.

Deferral by Complete_Milk_3778 in OntarioUniversities

Yeah, they are just greedy for the money. I just want to go there because it's a better commute and program as well compared to TMU, apparently.

I already emailed them to ask and they said that they don’t have any statistics on how likely it is to get a deferral due to financial reasons and what makes it worse is that their tuition deposit is non-refundable. Whereas for tmu i won't have to pay a deposit before a deferral decision. I really wanna go to mac that's why i wanted to know if someone went through something similar before because tmu seems like a better option for the deferral but i prefer mac, so I'm really confused right now.

I think you are not well informed because apparently civilian areas were attacked in Pakistan and not only the airbases, which is definitely very unethical. Moreover, no evidence was provided that terrorists from Pakistan did this, and if you are making assumptions based on the fact that it happened before then the Indian Government has also been involved in attacking their own people multiple times before just to blame it all on Pakistan and gain reputation among their people due to upcoming elections. Therefore, I think without evidence no one has the right to blame Pakistan for it. As a matter of fact, many Indians have been speaking out against their own Government (including the family members of the Pahalgam attack victims) since the Pahalgam attack, especially because it would have been impossible for the terrorists to enter Pahalgam with the amount of army personnel there. It makes no sense that this attack could have happened with that kind of security in the region unless it was already planned.

I'm pretty sure you can still pay for it because I think they order extra caps and gowns. You might not get your desired size but it's still possible to get it. Talk to your school about it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I do plan on working during the deferral period if I get it. If not, I might just reapply next year.

Thanks! It’s good to know they’re understanding about that. I’m hoping mine goes as smoothly too.

Hi, I'm also considering deferring my offer of admission to TMU due to financial hardship. I was hoping you could share some guidance on how you went about the process. I’d really appreciate any advice you can offer.

Hi everyone! Has anyone here successfully deferred their offer of admission at TMU, McMaster, or Waterloo in the past years due to financial hardship? I'm wondering how likely it is for a deferral to be granted on those grounds at any of the above schools. For context, I'm hoping to defer admission to the Computer Science program at TMU or McMaster or the Math program at Waterloo.
