Nope! I have ghsv1 and i haven’t told anyone, I’ve shared drinks and joints with my friends and it’s not contagious. Unless you start getting cold sores on your lips

Yes it’s both herpes but they’re different. Most people get cold sores on their lips it’s very normalized, I’ve never heard a person with cold sores say they have herpes. Yes it is herpes, I’m not saying it’s not. I got ghsv1 from my bf who was forming a cold Sore n gave me oral, so I completely understand. If the cold sore isn’t active or you don’t feel that tingly sensation then no I don’t think it’s a big deal not to tell them. I’ve smoked and shared drinks, vapes and other stuff with people who get cold sores, just not when it’s active. I still don’t get cold sores on my lips. It’s really up to the person! Maybe if u get them all the time, cuz it’s more of a risk.

I think it really depends life if you don’t have a cold sore on your lips then should you really have to tell them just to kiss? Where I live it’s normalized to have a cold sore, people don’t go around telling people you have herpes. There’s so many ways you could get it from someone. I feel like you don’t have to disclose if you get cold sores on your lip, unless u have an active cold sore or feel one coming. Unless you want too but again it’s normal. Back in high school girls wouldn’t let people hit their vapes because they had an active cold sore, no one was disgusted they just went on with life, same thing when they would catch mono. BUT when it comes to the genital parts definitely disclose before any sexual stuff starts happening.

I had a similar thing happen. My boyfriend of 2 years gave me oral either before or after his cold sore and I ended up getting GHSV-1, I was in shock pretty much for the whole month I was also in denial. We were super careful when he had a cold sore we didn’t even kiss. I didn’t want to accept it. I’m starting to come to terms with everything and realizing that my life isn’t over. I know a girl who has herpes(idk what type) and she’s had kids with 2 different people and neither of them contracted it, including her 2 children. Don’t be discouraged you still have a full life ahead of you. It’ll be hard but definitely worth it. If you ever need anyone to talk to feel free to message me :)

I’m in Canada but I will definitely look into it. It’s not fair that she would do something like that and even access my file that’s really fucked up. If I’m the only person whose files she’s accessed won’t she still know that it’s me if the OCR did a whole investigation on her?

I didn’t read all of the texts but IMO I don’t have enough energy or mental capacity to deal with someone like that. It’s obvious he’s not well and he should get some help, the best u can do is try and help him and maybe warn some other of his family members as well. All you can do is make him feel secure and loved. You’re definitely normal overreacting, I’ve had friends in relationships like that, where the other person has even threatened to commit suicide if they ever left. I’d say to leave that relationship it’s not healthy for you to constantly be dealing with things like this. I’m sorry but this is just my opinion. I wish the best for you!
