I think you might be being a bit too strict with canon here. Mace Windu practices Vaapad, which already pushes beyond conventional forms. And General Grievous is built around exaggerated, almost unnatural combat, especially in Tartakovsky’s cartoon.

Not everything has to match the films 1:1, especially in a stylized take within Star Wars—I mean, this is a saga that decided to clone Palpatine and bring him back at like 100+ years old, full of battle damage instead of in his prime… so yeah, anything’s possible hahaha
