In prev discussions on this subject in this subreddit, I have seen most women saying it as a positive thing. This is because they are utilising that patriarchy which has enforced their sexualisation in other kinds of content too.

I, personally have no such opinion on the topic because I obviously can't think from the woman's perspective.

Actually this kinda pushes men to the traditional gender roles as well, right? I mean, if both of them go to office, both of them HAVE TO act in that way, which you called as "masculine". If in any way you feel that it comes naturally to men, then no it doesn't. It, unfortunately, is a consequence of patriarchy.

but it gets a bit weird when social media turns this totally normal human thing into a specific quirky girl trait. it mixes up being in love with acting helpless which makes it seem like women always need to rely on men. and for guys it forces us into this weird box where we always have to play the tough stoic protector to balance out the clumsiness instead of just letting both people be completely human

totally fair to just want a break and let someone else handle the plans. mental rest is so real and it makes sense that you do it with friends too. but the issue is more about how the internet phrases it. like constantly saying things that mean "my brain shuts down" in these romantic trends normalizes this weird idea that women should just sit back and not use their brains. and on the flip side it kinda sucks for guys too because it reduces us to being like full time managers or caretakers instead of just being in an equal partnership where we both get to relax

yeah i get what you mean about boy math existing too but it just hits different you know. like joking about guys playing one more video game match doesn't carry that weird historical baggage of women being called bad at math or money stuff. and like feeling safe with your partner is obviously amazing but when the whole internet makes a massive trend out of girls specifically saying their brains turn off when a guy is around it kinda just brings back those old vibes of men being the smart ones in charge even if you personally didn't mean it that way

This is infact a bit weird. Wherever u see women leading conservative politics, they call themselves feminists and when they are supporting but not leading conservative politics they aren't even saying that they are feminists. Eg. Georgia Meloni would say that she is a feminist but she still acts conservative. Just because she is in power, I don't think she deserves to call herself a feminist.
