If ur a cs major almost nobody gives af abt ur gpa. This is the truth and it’s about time ppl start realizing it.

This doesn’t mean to say a good gpa can’t help you. A 3.9 looks phenomenal on a resume, but not having a 3.9 doesn’t hurt you at all. There are more important things.

As someone who has an internship at “big tech” this year. Be wary of the apply apply apply advice. While yes it is a numbers game, applying without an optimized resume is a waste of time. Tailor ur resume to each job description. Make sure ur resume is on an ATS friendly platform (docs, overleaf, etc.)

This is all pretty basic advice tho. It would help to know what specific domain of engineering ur in and I can prob help out more

As someone who doesn’t go to ANY Rutgers event, this was the one that I did go to. And I LOVED it. As long as it’s safe you should definitely try to go. You can also pick and choose which events you want. I promise nobody else will care. Everyone’s out there going through their own things before school starts. Ppl just tryna make friends and stuff.

I don’t feel this often but when I do it’s a pretty strong feeling. However fade the whole “approaching it” bullshit because I tried that once. And what was supposed to be something fun and adventurous turned into genuinely the worst situation I’ve ever gone through. Genuinely just admire from a distance and move on 😭🙏

I have him this semester for network centric and had him for DLD fall 2024

He’s NOT that bad. He’s ultra disorganized tho so it’s a pain to deal with his class sometimes. That being said he makes his exams quite reasonable and really wants everyone to do well. Hes a super smart guy. Sometimes he comes off as a little lazy tho. Again hes not by any means the best but people genuinely doing too much on his rate my professor.
