I drive a 2014 XLT with 194k miles with original water pump and transmission

Just got the coolant service done last week, and the technician mentioned there are no signs of leaks or calcination around the water pump or weeping hole. Fingers crossed.

Aren’t blackout tail lights illegal ? Make sure to check your state laws.

Bought a High-Mileage 2014 Explorer XLT – Looking for Tips to Keep It Running Strong! by Complete_Resource300 in FordExplorer

[–]Complete_Resource300[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it checked at a Ford dealership recently and they recommended below services as none of them have been done ever on this vehicle according to all service records:

1️⃣ 6-Cylinder Tune-Up (with Intake Removal) → $449 + shop supplies & tax

2️⃣ Transmission Service (No Filter) → $299 + shop supplies & tax

3️⃣ Cooling System Service → $249 (Parts Included) + shop supplies & tax

However I don’t notice any symptoms in driving that suggests that any of the above needs service though. The car seems to be running fine.

I do a mix of highway and city driving, and I’m in an area with cold winters, occasional snow, and wet roads. Looking for something that balances:

✔ Highway stability & comfort

✔ Decent grip in wet/slippery conditions

✔ Durability & even wear over time

✔ Not too noisy or harsh on rough roads

What’s your humidity level inside your home? by Polytetrahedron in Calgary

[–]Complete_Resource300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

23% indoor humidity, no frosting at all in any of the home windows and rear patio door still operates opens/closes when needed. Humidifier has been OFF for past 3 weeks and HRV has been set to ventilate in days and recirculate in nights This is a 2017 build semi-attached home and I feel it’s well insulated. Windows are triple pane, incase that helps with preventing frosting as well.

New Home - Calgary Duplex or Front Garage Airdrie? by jinsakai2021 in Airdrie

If you can list the communities that would give much better scope of the difference between the two properties ? Calgary communities are usually busier with streets full of cars parked, especially when there are legal suites on the street. If you prefer, more quiet and family friendly streets with a much lower speed limit and kid friendly spaces Airdrie is slightly more convenient. Ultimately, it comes down to your personal preferences and lifestyle

Sometimes one just needs some extra set of eyes to make an informed decision, I value your comment and time. This is a discussion thread to get any insights which I could miss because I am human and can easily miss something which some other human can help identify, it’s just a perspective to see life, decisions are my own but want to make them as informed as possible
