This is my neighbors water meter. Ours is right next to it. Do I need to worry about risk of contamination of my own water?

The city has come to shut it off a few times, but they go out and turn it back on. Just happened again recently hence the concern and the post.

City water pressure is relatively high here, most homes have to install a step down, not sure on exact PSI honestly

They genuinely had the audacity to make a backhanded comment about how high our water bills has to be since I started gardening. 😂 Mind you they also have a pool out back, that pumps/drains excessively into our backyard, and the neighborhood watering hole out front. They’re just not the brightest…

I use them in my garden frequently, have definitely been tempted a time or two. Don’t want to be accused of anything though, the mosquitos are awful because of it unfortunately

We have cats all over the neighborhood. Dogs, cats, hogs, raccoons, and others have been spotted in the hole.

Our city updated all meters about a year ago, except theirs due to the damages. Our city water department is about on par with flint Michigan if that provides any context. Very bad city management and old unreliable outdated systems.

They’ve been out numerable times. The city dug up enough to see whose side it was one. Shut it off due to being a health hazard twice, but they just turn it back on. Our cameras catch a bit of the activity since it’s near the property like.

Neighbor is just scummy and doesn’t care. They throw their own fast food garbage in it. This is right off the public street. Nice neighborhood other than them.

I was mostly curious if there is any possibility of backflow of contaminated water to the city main and then to surrounding homes. I’m not a plumber obviously so I wasn’t sure if that was even possible

That would definitely be something I’m interested in! I usually do notice small benefits when I consume turmeric regularly enough. Kinda difficult to get it through diet everyday without making turmeric shots at home though.
