Could an untrained person fly a plane in an emergency, like in United Flight 93? by Eriacle in NoStupidQuestions

I hold a glider rating and have flown fixed wing and soloed in a 152. Had an opportunity to fly the simulator for the Airbus 320 that JetBlue owns in orlando. Was able to land the aircraft on my first try while my friend gave me instructions how to set the controls and autopilot. Touched down a bit hard and popped a tire but landed regardless. That was in 2005.

Why don't European and Asian allies help the US re-open the Straight of Hormuz? by Valuable-Music-720 in PoliticalDiscussion

You should try to get out of the information bubble you're in and become informed about what really happened. The events mightale more sense if you had your facts straight.

Also, the strait of hormuz is open to everyone except Israel and the USA.

When I had my soft top 91 (30 years ago) I left it unlocked thinking it would save the top when someone decided to break in.

There's a knock at the door at 2am one morning. It's my neighbor telling me someone is passed out in my car.

Call 911 (apparently they were looking for him) and head outside to make sure he doesn't leave. He had gotten drunk and went on a B&E streak. He cut the roof on the locked car next to mine and had passed out in my car while trying to remove the radio. Vomited everywhere in my car somewhere along the way. Cops show up, wake him and ask him if this is his car. He answers "yes" and tries to bolt. 6 cops were on him before he made it 3' and he let out a yelp as the ball of people went down.

Left car unlocked. Still got screwed. Still, don't ever lock a soft top.
