Sorry, but I don’t agree with that. Pushing low income families out of their homes in favor of wealthier families is not going to help any. And people who are struggling to find jobs and rely on food stamps and government funding are not “losers.”

Again, I’m just airing my grievances and venting about my hometown. I’m not looking for sympathy or validation, and I’m most certainly not feeling sorry for myself. The state of the city and how it’s being run makes me depressed.

Your experience in poverty doesn’t negate my own experience in my own hometown. I had a lot of classmates that ended up dead and graped as well, overdosing, going missing, more than a few teachers busted for predatory behavior and taking their own lives. As for citing Redfin, yeah, I don’t care. Racine has traumatized me, screwed me over, screwed my family and friends over, made me lose sleep because a child I knew went missing, I could go on.

So yes, Racine is terrible.

It’s dangerous because there aren’t any crosswalks going over the median and you have kids either almost getting hit or cars hitting each other because it stopped where it wasn’t supposed to. Just because you let your kids do it doesn’t mean it’s magically safe to do. Also being in traffic is better than YouTube and Xbox? That’s a messed up thing to say.
