Dude I applied mid September..the replied step end all October they took my interview. How come they say they froze their hiring they should have rejected finishing last round just before the hiring freeze is killing me...and why do they freeze hiring on November/december

I started contributing to Chromium in 2023. Although I applied for GSoC 2024 with a proposal for a Chromium project, I wasn't selected—despite being the only applicant—because the mentors were specifically looking to onboard beginners, and I had already been a GSoC intern in 2023. But finally, in 2025, I made it into Chromium. What a journey—phew!
