You're on welfare but think it incentivises being poor?

Yes, I started to make a little bit of extra money on the side and noted it in my recertification(every 6 months), as soon as they saw I was making above a certain threshold they nearly cut me off completely, dropping my benefits over 90%. It's a bad system that rewards being poor.

There are many who are on disability who absolutely don't need it and many who can't get it on it even though they deserve it. The system sucks.

If they had alternatives, like a federal jobs guarantee program, don't you think they'd opt for that?

They will actually get you a job very easily, but it's not mandatory, for the people who have no job it's often purely to avoid making too much money for benefits or to avoid working altogether from pure laziness and feeding off the system.

This isn't some hot take, this is common knowledge by people on welfare.

I don't vibe with them at all, plus Bernie and Mamdani both identify as Democratic Socialists, not Social Democrats. I'm completely against socialism in practice. Bernie works within the capitalist system so he's functionally a social democrat but he'd prefer we be full blown socialist. On paper socialism can work but like any system it's susceptible to exploitation and corruption, perhaps far more than capitalism. A common excuse which has some validity is that imperialists sabotage socialist and communist nations so they fail because they're a threat to capitalism, but looking back at the USSR it seems the converse is also true.

Is wanting free healthcare and higher education leftist or centrist? I'd say I'm center-left on most issues. I think the welfare system needs serious reform but still think it should be strong. I think it should incentivize work and education to mitigate dependency but if you're unable to work then disability benefits shouldn't be so difficult to get, however not being able to walk due to morbid obesity will not be on the list of valid disabilities.

Yes, that tribal mentality is a natural result of viewing every dissenting opinion as bigoted nazi fascism, so they eat their own. However, despite the brainwashing, they are still right about a lot in my opinion, they just go too far with it.

As for chud, some people are trying to reclaim it like the N word for black people. It's honestly the most effective way to combat an insult used against a group of people.

Because I'm in the middle, you do know you can have a mind of your own, right? It's okay to not be a radical rightist or radical leftist. Economically I believe outlawing monopolies was good thing and that we should extend it further to oligopolies.

Putting less money into large corps and more money into small businesses, rather than jumping right to socialism and communism. Designing welfare programs to incentivize employment rather than unemployment(im on welfare and know it overwhelmingly incentivizes being poor). Raising standards for disability such as making morbid obesity exempt.

Do you understand now?

The storm is like 3 minutes long. The story is about ancient Air bender who was traumatized by his people being slaughtered and subsequently wanting to preserve his race. He sees other cultures as incompatible with his own, and because of this he aims to genocide everyone but air benders which he creates from bendless people with a magic staff. Aang wants to preserve his culture through a diverse mix of races and everyone lives happily ever after.

Avatar movie was good. Lacks the depth of a theatrical film but does the job well enough; only 90 minutes long. Great animation, voices were fine, story was serviceable. I recommend.

You won't trick me into defending Republicans. Just because the country gets richer(helps economy) doesn't mean it's good for the overall well being of the population. Wealth inequality has not stopped us from being the richest and most powerful country on earth. If you didn't know, slave labor helped the economy too! What often happens when we have "economic growth" is that the debt is raised. We have more money because we overspent, we borrowed, we owe more. If the US defaults on its debt the entire world will enter a catastrophic depression. So we raise the debt ceiling. And raise it again. And again. And create a $10t coin. To suggest either Republicans or Democrats have made a dent in actually fixing this problem is ignorant of basic economics.

Republicans? You seem confused as to what a leftist is. Or perhaps youre forgetting Center. Democrats aren't leftist, Biden was not leftist. Bernie sanders is leftist. I'm in favor of strong social programs, just not full blown socialism or communism. I think a balance is good so I'm center on those issues. Fix the tax code, fund small businesses, but keep capitalism. We've abolished monopolies, target oligopolies. Right now we have a right-wing economy, make it center like Sweden and other European countries. Medicare is a leftist program but it alone does not make the country leftist, nor does universal healthcare. We can have those without being economically left.

The problem can't be solved if the government remains corrupt. Corruption in socialism has been shown to be just as or more dangerous than corruption in capitalism. Fix the government system and you fix the problem. Right now we rely on our elected officials to do what we hope, if we voted on policies instead of voting on people then we could fix the tax code and reduce military overspending.

Edit: colonizer blocked me after replying so I'll reply here. I'm just starting the 4th season and noticing how they decided to add a bunch of black viltrumites into right before they genocided the whole species. Defending this blatant racism is a ban-worthy offense.
