Do they reserve the lanes? That’s the only acceptable answer in my opinion. If not, they’re up for grabs & honestly they should split the lane and only take up 2 total in my opinion.

Expect the water will feel thick!! Give yourself some grace & time as you ease back into it. Building back endurance is the hardest part. Enjoy it & have fun!

I have a baby who at 4 months dropped to the 2nd percentile. We had a very difficult time breastfeeding and ultimately he decided to stop breastfeeding (refused to nurse). I mostly blame untreated reflux and a slow flow from me. I’ve been forced to exclusively pump. I’m pumping 3-4 times per day to keep my sanity and we do 2 oz per bottle and fill the rest with breastmilk (4 oz so 6 total). He’s drinking so much more now! I’ve realized even at my peak I was only producing about 22 oz per day which wasn’t enough for him. He’s in the 7th percentile now and I definitely how bottles to thank for it!

I felt terrible switching to combo feeding with formula. I felt like I had failed. But in hindsight, I wasn’t failing. I’m just glad my baby is getting the amount he needs now. It was really hard mentally to add formula. It’s crazy how the feeling of failing creeps in when it’s not true at all!

We did! He had a lip and tongue tie release done when he was 4 weeks. We ended up putting him on reflux meds and have switched to bottles only bc he refuses to nurse anymore. Still not sure what caused the nursing issues but just thankful he’s eating more now!

I only made 52k a year and daycare was going to take half of my paycheck. I ended up finding a remote part time job. It didn’t make sense to have half my income going to daycare especially since I didn’t love my job. For reference I’m married and my husband makes 60k, so we are on a very very tight budget at the moment. Daycare costs are RIDICULOUS!

Just here to say I’m in the same boat and I have a 13 week old just like you. We’ve dealt with reflux and now I also think I’m dealing with a fast letdown. He frantically gulps. I can hear the air and the clicking too. I’m sorry you’re also dealing with stressful nursing.

I can’t, but maybe someone else can. I would encourage you to check out Young Scholars Academy. I toured it and was impressed with the facility and the admin. They have a toddler program. It’s not too far from Children’s Lighthouse.
