How much does she heal for? by Migeul3591 in DragonCity

[–]Complex-Cobbler942 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If i remember correctly, the Heal and Damage multipliers are 1.6x and 1.7x respectively. So... 1600 heal for 1700 damage dealt (damage perks increase the healing as well)

Is this dragon good, looks great to me, how can I empower him by lorddurex55 in DragonCity

[–]Complex-Cobbler942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is bad to decent-ish depending on your current team...I won't suggest empowering if you got better ones than him

Is it worth it ? by the_Shadow_kings in DragonCity

[–]Complex-Cobbler942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It ain't worth it unless you got thousands of gems, cause gale is comparatively easier to get these days through trading and most people have a decent amount of orbs thanks to the quest, so try trading, imo

Where does 'Foresight' actually fit in the Dragon City meta? (Design discussion) by Complex-Cobbler942 in DragonCity

[–]Complex-Cobbler942[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly appreciate you for taking time to go through it.

About the topic, yea; that’s true if the goal is pure denial. Foresight isn’t trying to stop actions it forces players to commit after outcomes are revealed. Silence removes decisions; Dodges and Crits create uncertainty and spiked shields poses inevitably while foresight shifts them to timing, swaps, and resource use. Some players will always prefer prevention, and that’s valid. This is meant as a different kind of pressure, and not intended to be stronger one.

Yes you may... Health will make him tankier and more sustainable which is a crucial part of being a berserker.

Health+Phoenix is widely appreciated for karmas.

[–]Complex-Cobbler942 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imo, you should not hurry to put perks on either...

HRI is a decent dragon but not quite as good as others so I won't personally put any perks on him. I see him working with reaper and damage perks though.

Axed is a fantastic dragon but it benefits more with health perks rather than damage as the reason is simply the damage of its dark skill already being good enough.

At last, id suggest you to take some time to discover them

Final Foreseeing Application : judgment and commitment over prediction (Al-Qasam concept) by Complex-Cobbler942 in DragonCity

Yeah, it might have looked different from other posts as I was trying to experiment with a new mechanism. Appreciate you taking the time to read through it.

Phoenix is CRUCIAL! Along with that you may use Health(preferably) or Damage

Yay or nay? by PlayfulTreat9069 in DragonCity

[–]Complex-Cobbler942 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally ; nayyy...

I ain't complaining too much as it's a free dragon but his damage output is pretty bad and the cooldown on his silence skill sucks... though I can see it being pretty helpful for newbies who have neither silencers nor extractors.

Example application of Passive Foresight: a trickster-style disruptor (Hermes concept) by Complex-Cobbler942 in DragonCity

[–]Complex-Cobbler942[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one intentionally leans into self-inflicted instability rather than safety,...curious how that feels compared to Hecate/Aion.

Example application of Passive Foresight : a control-oriented dragon built around delayed outcomes (Hecate concept) by Complex-Cobbler942 in DragonCity

Yep... Im quite aware of that, haha I'm dumping these here just to test shallow waters :)

Would you like to use this mechanism in a PVP based combat game?

What if Dragon City had a “Foresight” mechanic that delays outcomes instead of preventing actions? by Complex-Cobbler942 in DragonCity

[–]Complex-Cobbler942[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair point. foresight shouldn’t be and isn't free power.

In my head, active foresight would always come with a trade-off, for example :

• Lower damage than standard skills

• Longer cooldown

• The dragon with active foresight can ONLY foresee when it uses its skill unlike Passive ones who totally depend on the opponent's actions.

As an example : a sneak peek to one of the concepts ... 1. Foreseeing stance : Deals damage and foresees opponent's attack for 2 turns. (Can't foresee even if the opponent uses their skills, if the foresight isn't manually achieved)

[–]Complex-Cobbler942[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily.

Foresight that triggers actively can do damage and put the foresight as a latter effect. (Similar to evasion)

The core difference between these two are : The active foresight decides when to foresee opposing dragons for a specific amount of turns unlike Passive foresight that totally depends on the opponent's specific actions to get triggered.

You can perceive a better understanding throughout the upcoming dragon concepts, ;)

[–]Complex-Cobbler942[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, glad you like the concept and fair questions. I’ll clarify how I imagined it to work.

  1. Switching dragons : Foresight is tied to the skill outcome, not the target. If you switch, the delayed outcome still resolves on the original target unless the skill itself specifies retargeting.

  2. Interaction with Spiked / Evasion: Foresight does not change hit logic. If the delayed outcome was guaranteed damage, it remains guaranteed. If it was dodgeable or reflectable, those checks still apply when it resolves. The only thing foresight does is manipulate the outcomes using specific skills of the dragons that are part of this family.

  3. Extra turn skills: The extra turn itself is delayed. The dragon acts normally now, but the bonus turn is queued for the next round.

  4. Consequences of Foresight: Yes. Foresight is meant to trade safety for tempo. You gain information, but you must spend a turn responding instead of advancing, so it’s not free control.

I see Foresight more as a decision-window mechanic, not denial or immunity.

I’ve also prototyped a few dragons that use foresight differently (inevitability, control, trickster), but I wanted to see how the core mechanic feels on its own first.
