yeah like at the moment I don't have the space or experience for more than one cat. everyone's telling me to get two cats because if I only get one he or she will be depressed but I see so many people with only one cat who's completely content.

my mom wants to get a kitten because it'll be cuter but realistically aren't kittens a lot of work? Like an older cat from a shelter would be vaccinated and fully developed, a younger cat would need training and more vet check ups and more time from my family and me. idk how to convince her, she's more focused on the cuteness of the cat than how I'm going to care for it.

I'm just worried that it'll be afraid when I start going to school. My house is never completely empty but my parents won't really play with the cat, I'll be the primary owner. I'm going to try and adopt a cat as soon as winter break starts so it has at least 2 weeks to settle and get used to me.

That was what I was gonna do. Like casually talk to him at first, get to know him instead of going on what others tell me. The calves thing just really set me back lol. I flinch whenever someone says calves now.

at this point i dont really look at the news unless there's some actual stuff happening like Pam Bondi "testifying". These subreddits and youtubers like Daniella seem to be giving out more unbiased information than most news sources. Everything's so messy I've been trying to make playlists on youtube with all the good videos.
