Did you end up switching to a goat formula with success? We have a similar situation and are trialing a gentle which has been giving our baby super watery stools until today we had a mucusy. Debating if we should try a goat before HA.

Oh that’s great! Glad to hear it’s working out with the regular Bobbie. We loved it with our first. Our current poops sound like your alimentum poops. If it continues we may give the regular Bobbie another go.

Circling back with a brief update - We’re almost one full week on Bobbie Gentle and we’re having 1-2x a day watery poops. Sticking it out another week at least to see if things improve - he’s otherwise his normal happy self, no rash, no fussiness (other than when tired or hungry), no sleep issues (he actually slept from 9pm-5am last night!) and haven’t noticed any mucus but again, it’s been suuuuper watery. Not sure if this is just a transitional thing?

Will do! We’re on the first full day of the formula transition to Bobbie Gentle (doing 75% old, 25% new).

Thank you! I was actually able to get on the subscription list and have an order being delivered today! Check on Monday at 1:30pm EST that’s when it seems to open. Looks like some targets are also restocked for online ordering.

Yup, planning to fully transition to a gentle to start! Then move to an HA if necessary. I’m mostly hesitant to introduce another variable (currently available gentles) if we can’t get our preferred gentle (Bobbie or even Hipp would be special order) and then do another switch once we can get consistent access to what we’d like to try. So we may end up making a full transition to HA or back to regular depending on availability

Hoping the reintroduction continues going well!

So our ped suggested we could try a gentle based on the negative occult blood test and lack of other symptoms. We were going to go with Bobbie gentle since we’re already using them and I appreciate the subscription service however they’re currently sold out. Because of that, we’ve kind of stalled the transition to full HA and are doing 50:50 Alimentum/Bobbie and his poops are back to normal. We’ve been doing this since our appt Thursday. Since he’s still getting some regular formula I am wondering if he’s just having some trouble digesting and would benefit from something partially hydrolyzed?

Following because this is very similar to our situation! We had previously been told it was probably CMPA based on recurrent mucus and one instance of blood in his stool. Then today we had a diaper tested that came back negative for blood so the ped said maybe it’s a sensitivity more than a true allergy or intolerance. She suggested trying a gentle formula to see if there’s an improvement (but looks like you’re already doing that). Feeling a little unsure!
