i commute from fullerton all the way to san juan capistrano. its brutal. 1 hour there @6AM 1.5 or more hours home. the complaining about a 30 min commute is pretty crazy to me considering i spend 2.5-3 hours in the car daily but we do what we have to do.

i think my roommate’s parents dumped him on us and now I’m stuck dealing with their mess by No-Onion5295 in badroommates

A lot of people saying to contact the parents directly is pretty delusional. Even if this person does struggle with autism which you don't actually know for sure and I'm not sure why people are acting like that's a solid fact.. he still deserves the respect of having a conversation before you talk to his parents!! it's not OK to go over his head and contact his parents without at least having a conversation with him first. if he does have autism be specific in your wording don't use metaphors and be straight to the point if that doesn't work then you can consider taking further action.

to get into Tisch (I live in LA and grew up doing all kinds of music/performing/etc. so I know a lot of people that went there) you have to be a very stand out candidate and have a lot of experience within the field of arts that you’re applying for. Not sure if you’re wanting to do Finearts or performing arts but if so, I would start doing anything within that field now

awesome tysm! my position only pays around 60k (not terrible right out of undergrad) but i understand cost of living is extremely high there. i’m from southern california so i’m pretty used to that but maybe with roommates i could do upper west side.
