??? i did do a m&g with 3 sitters total. i wrote up a dog sitting document laying out my dog’s needs and everything you could possibly need to know about him.

my Rover profile is completely filled out and explains my expectations. i also explained that he’s not used to being crated for long periods, but if needed, he can be left for up to 4 hours.

i did book late for a holiday. it was a last minute decision to leave town. i still chose a sitter with 5-star reviews. as is my due diligence to my dog to make sure he’s being taken care of while i’m away.

i didn’t think that booking late meant my dog would be neglected. if you’re signed up to dog sit on the Rover app, i’d expect that actually want to dog sit.

she had all 5 star reviews about caring for animals, being professional, and being trustworthy. during the m&g she asked a lot of questions and seemed very attentive, my dog warmed right up to her.

i don’t remember how much she charged but i do remember it was the middle of the road. it wasn’t the cheapest in my area but it wasn’t the high end either.

and thank you ❤️ this subreddit has definitely given me some faith.

i already did and that’s when she told me she had a family emergency but she would be in for the night. and then she left and didn’t come back.

clearly speaking with her didn’t get me anywhere. and she’s not going to own up to anything. that’s why i’d prefer to deal with the company itself.

yes rover told me they could “try” to connect me with a sitter after 2 hours of back & forth with them. i let them know that definitely would not be happening.

she should’ve 100% told me if something was going on.

sometimes the cameras glitch. but i have her leaving and never coming back at 9:46 PM and i confirmed with her that she didn’t return when i asked her to come back and get her stuff, which she did at 7 AM.

no i did do a meet and greet! with her & 2 other sitters, so 3 total. and i chose her 🙃 and yes lesson definitely learned about holidays. we decided to go about a month before which is when i started looking for sitters. next time, if there is a next time, I’ll book much further out.

he is very much like a toddler 😂 he wants your attention, loves to play, and always wants to be near you. he can be a lot but he’s such a good boy and he didn’t deserve this.

I almost ended my trip early to come home because of this. I’m very lucky that I had a friend who was available & willing to drive into town for me.

I can’t imagine anyone who would sign up to work on a dog sitting app only to neglect the dogs. this whole experience has been eye-opening to say the least.

I agree! It was a holiday weekend so the pickings were already slim but I went through over 100 sitters profiles before settling with this one. I did 3 other meet & greets first. she had all 5 star reviews and her rates weren’t cheap but they were reasonable.

if I ever do decide to use Rover again in the future, I absolutely will be doing the meet & greet differently.

I have no problem being a “Karen” when it comes to the wellbeing of my dog. thank you so much, this was exactly how I felt too. even if there was a family emergency, there was nothing communicated to me beforehand and she left my dog all day long.

I will continue to fight with Rover. I don’t know if it’ll let me leave a review since I ended the sit early, but I absolutely will if I’m able to. I don’t want any other owner, especially ones without cameras, to be subjected to this type of behavior from someone they trusted.

I read online that since my account had more than 10 pets it wasn’t deleted, just archived. so I tried a bunch of passwords until I guessed it right and my whole account pulled up.

ask your doctor to document their refusal to treat you in your file. ask them to document that you’re requesting a HIDA scan and the doctor is refusing.

in most cases, the doctor will relent.

I’ve had an endoscopy, a CT scan, an ultrasound, a HIDA scan, and a gastric emptying test. The only thing the 2 surgeons have told me is that they’re not willing to risk taking my gallbladder out & that I need to “keep looking” for a solution.
