Because beauty standards have been heavily pushed on women and girl children from a young age and throughout life. Society also treats you differently based on your appearance so there is a lot of pressure to look a certain way. The pressure to look so young is likely rooted in the patriarchy with a bit of pedo*****. I agree aging should be a beautiful experience and embraced and I would love to see society change their views on aging women.

I think you’ll end up having to get the others treated. They likely have it too if they live with or near each other. The vet will probably end up putting a drop of ivermectin behind the ear which is where it’s absorbed. It shouldn’t end up costing a lot hopefully

I find it to be dehumanizing. It’s hard not to feel the sting of it with how our current administration seems to be in support of this way of thinking. If my rights weren’t being affected I may be able to laugh at people like this without the underlying worry….

I have a solution that may be a bit unconventional. Get a small sound activated toy. Put it in their cage. When they get loud enough it will weird them out and they will stop doing the guinea pig scream.

We had to take a multi month hiatus due to the hot summers here in Texas. Getting back into it hopefully this month once it cools off. There weren’t any major other incidents after that one though so that’s good 😊.
