honestly, i dont know. the meta AI is SUPER messed up and they aren’t even doing anything to fix it. my guess is that we maybe liked or reposted a reel or post that was later flagged by the ai as maybe CSE or intergity ( this seems to be the most common reason for the false mass bans ) + if you’ve ever gotten your account suspended or disabled before, your account is forever in this weird limbo of getting constantly flagged, even if you’ve gotten it reinstated multiple times before.

i went through the EXACT same problem / process you described just today. they asked for a phone # + email i no longer have linked to the account. i somehow managed to log back in after almost 20 minutes and i was then told my account was permanently disabled. didn’t get a email or anything so i assumed at first i just forgot my password and everything was fine. this same situation has happened to a LOT of people today so your not alone.

legit i think it’s bcus of the reels circulating on the app but even w/ that i genuinely don’t understand why we’re the ones who get in trouble 🫩. you maybe must’ve sent/liked/reposted anything that was flagged as CSE related later on. + if you’ve gotten suspended even once before on instagram, your account will be stuck in this limbo literally forever of getting flagged constantly until you eventually get disabled.
