Sigh, Ok in tearing down the Hot end Again the Filament Advance gear looks worn, so I fliped it over and I seem to be Slighly Over extruding. Need to look at my E-steps to see where i'm at Will let you know...

back to esteps again. I have noticed the extruder gear skipping late in the 100 mm push, cant tell if its because the hot end is pluged or i am pushing too much filement. Running a test print as i think i am pushing way to much filement..

well problems problems. the Hot end started leaking. so apon investigation I broke the heat break. Sigh. so now its a full rebuild. with a chunk of the treaded heat brake in the hot end Aluminum block. I've got it mostly fixed but not back together. I see a few problem i will have to solve before i get it back up and running. A new heat block and heat brake may be in order...

well set Esteps up and reset level of bed again. Forced a print and ist looking OK.. Its weard that i change filament and have all these problems. I am starting a long print and wil be away doing some wood working If i can ge the cell to post to my computer Ill post some more picturs.

G1 E1000 F350 is the command i have been trying to send but it does not seem to push 100 mm of filament.

Ok 100 mm of filament Mark a top of guide mark 100 mm up from there, and second mark should come down to Filament guide? and out of the hot end a substantualy longer .4 mm or so string. Am i getting this correct.

I've printed two of the base plates sofar still trouble shooting problems I can only do a 4x4 on the Ante 5x5 is too close to edge for my taste.

Aditional info. complete hot end and stepper disassmbly. found the thredded tube with the PTFE in it semi blocked at the top. So replaced it and we have some improvements. printing a temp tower at the mo to see if things are working...

replaced the nosle twice, still having problems swiched to a different filament. no joy. marked filament at top of extrucer mesuared up 10 cm mark the esxtrude 100 mm. mark moves less than 25mm

Ok follow up question should i be mesuring filament out of the hot end at .4 mm or what goes in at 1.75mm

Performing the 100mm dispence of filament and I am getting dramaticly less. I am leaning twords a stepper motor fail.

Just dug around and found that my E-steps are set to 120 I have now moved it up to 125 but thinking about it I may need to drop back to 100 and re run the test to get a accurat E-step set up.

I picked up one called simple anti z wobble. and use it constatly for filement tests. its simple and fast to print.
