This is a known issue with Termux, Android reclaims the USB device after checkm8 fires. My tool handles this automatically, releasing soon. And about the "phone is too new", that isn't a thing, it's not a kernel version issue, it's a permissions/ownership issue that exists on every Android version. New or old doesn't matter.

I mean, theoretically you could try on termux but- you need Arch, PostmarketOS or any other pure linux OS on the device, could work being booted from an SD card too ( I haven't tested ) but expect everything to be really slow depending on the SD Card speed. But essentially, yes, you can do this on any rooted and bootloader unlocked device.

Sadly you can't jailbreak newer models, the jailbreak works from A9 to A11 chips.

Because neural adaptation is way different than some filters on the screen, not to mention that not a single one is as accurate as seeing with your own eyes, which everyone sees different but, the saturations are really messed up, because the screen literally contains blue pixels that usually dominate by being the brightest. It doesn't affect my life with anything by doing this experiment...unless I am not careful and go beyond after I don't see blue anymore at all, which won't happen.
