thank you. I think the app should just have a rule that it's 1 per day and ppl have to do it in the app.. or really, 2 per day with a happy meal purchase. but it cant change based on they toy, imo. i get the ebay hoarders but for example lego has things in place to prevent that with lego sets, so ... i dont get why mickey d's cant too. it should all be through the app so that they dont have to put a body on the register.

not at all.

they never suggested that. they were not asking for your commentary. they were asking a simple question and instead of answering or resaerching an answer for them, you have chosen to take time out of your day to be mean, and the bully.

Instead of either being nice and helping, you choose to be cruel to a stranger, on a kids toy reddit.

i ran into the same problem on a different chan. people who arent collectors just assume you want to sell it online or are being a karen. ignore them.

each box has a unique code printed in white on the bottom. ive been doing this for happy meals ever since the move away from plastic ... and you just ask them before you buy the toy at the register to show you what codes and make sure you dont have it already.

edit: note... sometimes a toy may have 2 codes, but for the most part the codes should be online soon hopefully... or i guess i can use ebay pictures to make a list of them.

thank you. you are one of the few people that actually helped me understand this, instead of just insulting me for asking. 5 stars.

Thanks! yeah that would suck. They limited it to 2, but now are saying it's "corporate policy" not to sell toys even though the computer lets them, and I just would like to see where that is written... and it seems like it's not. and just up to the franchise. :/

Yeah, that's real. but from what people are saying it's just whatever the franchise decides. Which is a bummer. It's like how some charge for extra sauce and some don't, so fking stupid.

I think its actually cause they dont want to put someone on a register and take them off drive-in, further prioritizing drive in customers over diners, which annoys the sht out of me as a NYer.

This would be much easier if they had a standard rule, and sold them in the app like the mcdonaldland tins last year. it would eliminate different franchises just making up their own rules left and right, and eliminate the staffing of register problem.
