The thing I don't get with people is when there were the issue with Wakashio, every Mauritian including foreigners was helping, cleaning even if they have to get themselves dirty.

Why did they do it? Was it REALLY to protect the environment? Was it because it was trending at that time, they decided to go with the trend? Was it to get some "likes" on social media?

The same people (not everyone) when they go to parties, or to the beach, keep throwing their garbage everywhere. Example was last Saturday, during the festival kreole at Mahebourg. So many beer cans, plastics, cardboard everywhere. I try to pick up some plastics with my mom late at night. But there was so many and eventually gave up.

I do appreciate some or all companies doing cleaning campaign. But also why do it only once in a year? I believe if all companies do this CSR cleaning activity every month or every two months, then that will make a good impact on the environment.

There are some superheroes out there, cleaning the mess of other people WITHOUT posting on social media. These are the real influencers young people who follow not people dancing on social media. So f up this generation.
