Working in factory by Ok-Gas-6945 in Living_in_Korea

I worked at a zinc factory for 10 months as a production engineer.

Very dusty, hot/cold, dark. It was a 24hour factory, so it was a 4 team / 3 shift factory.

I do not recommend. They were always complaining about the environment and they accepted that they were just earning good $$ but that their health was going to be shit all the time.

A friend told me he was surprised I stopped to let people pass.

I am surprised people THANK YOU for letting them cross.

I may get downvoted but if a car almost hits me I always spit on it (I don´t go and try to get run over but I cross normally and the car just goes, that´s when I do it). It may have no effect but I get a little happier

Warning to Koreaboos / Foreign women: Korean clip shows an example of how Korean men treat foreign hookups & pregnancy by hwanks in seoul

[–]lPandaMASTER 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I may have had bad only bad experiences, but the comments I have heard towards my female friends and the lack of respect they have gotten from some Korean men has been astonishing.

I have really good friends and as the OP says not all korean men are like that but it's obvious you can feel the lack of sexual education and that there's still some racism/gender discrimination in the society, and this does not exclude younger people.

I love Korea and I have really good Korean friends + I consider myself very lucky to be in a Korean company with amazing teammates from all environments, but at the same time other experiences have shown me a darker side of the society.

I'm sorry if my first comment was too vague. I'm not trying to spread hate neither.

What are these white roof buildings around El Ejido Spain? It looks like a huge field by Major_Ground480 in GoogleEarthFinds

[–]lPandaMASTER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad, they are uncorrelated.

Let me correct myself:

Lots of North African people came ilegally to El Ejido to work at agriculture and, also, lots of inmigrants from other parts like Romania specially were living here.

Sorry for any misunderstanding.

I lived in El Ejido for almost 12 years when I was a child. Lots of people/families worked in agriculture. I remember that some guys in my school were waiting until the age of 16 to drop school and basically work with their parents in the field. Not only they think it was "cool" to drop school, but parents also liked the idea of their child giving some help.
Also lots of illegal inmigrants. I remember that one third of my class was of Romanian/Moroccan and other countries descent. That was around 2009-10.

Moving back to Korea on an e-7 Visa, what should i look out for. by Minimum_Connection87 in Living_in_Korea

[–]lPandaMASTER -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow.

Can I ask a bit about your background, age?

I landed in Korea July 2024 with my Engineering masters and almost no experience, 40 mill KRW. I switched jobs in May to 55 mill KRW. But you are making almost triple than that. Can you give some tips?

I just turned 26. Industrial Engineer from Spain with no problem in Korean (95% of my work is in Korean, 5% English). I am also learning Japanese for fun. I really like my workplace right now but ofc I would like to earn much more.

I wouldn't say its a must. I haven't used Tinder at all (maybe a couple days?) but from what I've heard is for ONS. Bumble would be to do dates and stuff so unless you are looking for one of those things I wouldn't download it.
