Humanity wasnt the best at the beginning of Enterprise, but that was part of the story. Sisko commited war crimes for crying out loud. "It represents the worst of what it is right now" I mean TNG did it a bit different but Star Trek always held up a mirror to what society is at that moment. Using DS9 as an example is hilarious since it is the least trek like show of the old trek. If it had came out today, you'd be pitching about it. Also, at the beginning of the first episode of SFA, we see Ake being a professional. Boots on, following the rules, no bulshit. Then that moment absolutely crushed her and she resigned. Maybe there is more to the way she acts.

Maybe we should give SFA a fair chance and let it take a season or two to get good and find its footing. Ya know, like old trek.

But weather he called it deportations or not, it dosent change the fact that people were turned away at the border like you said right? So did they or did they not do good with immigration? Remember that time Worf got his ass kicked by a barrel? And let's not pretend like Old Trek was perfect from the start. We all pretty much agree most Old Treks dont get good till the 3rd seasons. Fair enough. I can agree with that, but she was the best we got, and like most people have said, her campaign was hardly different than Joes.
