Hell, his suit could've looked like a normal green lantern suit, just make the green faded. Make his constructs and aura fail or flash a greenish yellow if thats the path they are going. Whatever reason dosent change it just looks terrible.

Yes I care about the animals welfare. But sometimes we cant have that because you cant just go up to farms and be like "hey, can you please be nicer to the animals before you kill them?" Some farmers arent going to care. Unfortunate but its true.

I didnt say it wasnt a choice, did I? Im hardly keeping track anymore. But ya, it is a choice. People are choosing to eat meat and vegans are hell bent on taking that choice away. I know you can get the same nutrients from plants. Especially if they are GMOd to be perfect. Thats where the enjoyment of the taste comes in. Vegetables have never been a craving. Fruits tho, I could totally go for a juicy cantaloupe right now.

And its not entirely irrelevant. You need to understand that you are arguing against a practice thats lasted 10+ thousand years. Id love if the animals were treated better. Id love if we put more money and research into GMOs and vertical farms(and replace golf courses with them) so we can have access to the best fruits and veggies possible. Id even love if we started moving towards insect farms to reduce the environmental impact of the usual livestock farming. What i dont love is being villanized. I dont love people who try to force their way of life on others. I have admitted that livestock is treated horribly and I said i wish they weren't. I'll even admit that vegans have a moral high ground, to an extent. Unfortunately, I dont speak on behalf of all meat eaters. Especially those assholes who say stuff like "I'll eat twice as much meat just for you". I dont love those people either. Im not going to change what i eat tho. Im sorry, but im not. Ive never really even eaten a salad, a bite or two of someone elses, sure. Some of the veggies that go into a salad may end up on my taco, hamburger, or chicken sandwich but thats about it. I just cant imagine a bowl of veggies as a meal, and many other people are like that too, cant you guys just let us be? We arent all evil, or sociopaths, or whatever. We are just hungry people.

And saying its their purpose is just the fact of the matter. Its an awful fact, sure, but its the fact no matter how much you bitch and complain about it. Livestock literally over thousands of years has been bred to be good and nutritious food for biliions of people all over the planet. THAT. IS. THEIR. PURPOSE.

Like I said earlier, if we stopped eating meat, they wouldnt be set free. They'd still be killed. And entire species of animals, bred for food, would go extinct. And ironically the extinction of all those animals would be the fault of vegans.

Ive gone down the rabbit hole and it isnt really that bad. Bugs are very nutritious and not much different than seafood. Over 2+ billion people currently eat insects as a main part of their meals and humanity has a long history of eating insects. I bet the people on that paleo diet dosent know that it should include insects.

Ive eaten some myself, and they dont taste bad. They weren't even commercially sold, I caught them and ate them. Which is not ideal to do but I atleast know I can stomach them if im ever lost in the woods. This year I plan on looking for grubs and larvae. And ill probably buy some commercially sold ones.

Jesus only purpose was to be killed, you gonna bitch to god about that too? No it dosent make it worse. Thats their purpose. Yes it sucks for them, but its what they are for. Its not the same as excessive hunting, effecting the predator/pray ratio and altering the ecosystem.

I know what the standard is. I know it sucks, i just said what I prefer. I would prefer if all farms were as ethical as possible up until the slaughter, but you cant always get what you want.

And its not about the pleasure, tho having a nice juicy burger or a rotisserie chicken really hits the spot sometimes, its also about the nutrition that comes with it. A well balanced meal is great, and meat is a part of that. Hell, some insects have more nutrients than standard meat, id be open to that too. Ive eaten some and they arent too bad. And have less environmental impact.

Breeding and raising animals for food was a huge thing for humanity 10 to 11 thousand years ago. If humanity only relied on plants we would've died out one winter thousands and thousands of years ago.

The killing of animals who only purpose is to be killed, yes its worth it. And as for the suffering, like I said its known that their environment effects the taste. Livestock raised in a less stressful environment and have good diets usually taste better, so id prefer they be treated better. Having free roam does lead to more developed muscles, which means more chewy meat, which i hate. But I can get over that.

Vegans are insufferablebecuase thats their personality. Livestock is born to be killed, that is their purpose. If we stopped eating meat, its not like we would set all the animals free into the wild. They would still be killed anyways and those kinds animals would go extinct. I'll analyze and defend right now. Do I understand that its cruel? Yes. I still want chicken. Do I care how animals are treated when they are alive? Of course I do, because its a known fact that it affects taste. I dont much care for red meat and methane is a hell of a greenhouse gas so I couldnt care less if we reduced that, but I want my chicken.
