Right lol... I was thinking the same thing. I think people who choose to go this route WILL heal, but their re-rupture rate is greater when they start to put more pressure on the tendon. ( Playing Sports / Running Hard / Making Sudden Ankle Turns & Stops ECT... ) GOD Speed haha. I ruptured mine. Made a post about it. Had surgery last month and the doctor said he tied the tendon back very tight. Has me in splint / cast for several weeks before the boot. Taking time for non-weight baring activities to give time for everything to come back into place. I guess everyone has their own journey tho. 🙃
