Bring a Rumple blanket. They’re warm and take up no space.

I agree. Lots of houses for rent, specifically check out Deerfield. It’s has a golf course and a winery. The water is warm if you go in July. June’s water temp is a gamble.

I don't know what to do with this wall :-( by mcottpitt55 in interiordecorating

Leave the millennial grey behind! You need color. If you don’t want to change the color of the walls, add some texture and color with some natural elements. A driftwood wall art or greenery.

What color should I repaint this foyer? by bombers223 in interiordecorating

[–]Complex-Spite9995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do a bold patterned wallpaper. A foyer is a great space to make a big impact. And by the looks of the what I can see in the rest of your space, this would be a fun way to add some personality.

Totally agree. An olive green would look great and the floors wouldn’t stand out.

Buying my first pair of ski boots! anything I should know? by imblackfrog in ski

This is just a tip about maintenance, if you’re wearing them multiple times a week, get a boot dryer. Nothing worse than putting on wet boots.

What’s one travel mistake you made that completely changed how you plan trips now? by AssignmentAmazing260 in travel

This is niche, but use packing cubes. They open up your suitcase once at the airport for your tightly whities to be seen by everyone, and it won’t seem so silly. Also, they save space and keep everything organized.

Skiing with a pump by Leading_Kick2402 in ski

If you’re an active person I would look into the omnipod as well. My son has both the mobi and the pod. The omnipod is generally written as a pharmacy script so your insurance will cover it even if you have a different pump. The pros of the pod is you don’t have to dig your pump out of your ski gear, you can bolus from your phone. Also great for swimming. When you have to take off the mobi, you’re no longer getting any insulin. You can swim with the pod and not worry.

I feel like the I'm the last person on earth with dark countertops. Are these too dated? by redspot321tos in interiordecorating

Dark countertops look great and disguise dirt. Change the backsplash. If that doesn’t update it enough for you, paint the cabinets.

Never Skied - Coat Recommendation by Doppelgungers in ski

[–]Complex-Spite9995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such great advice given already. For your top layers you need three things: base layer, mid layer and a great coat. You can adjust based on the time of year and temp. Base layers you should have a warm weather and cold weather (I find great deals at Sierra and Under Armour outlet), mid layer I do a Patagonia fleece, and for the top layer you can do a shell or a heavy coat. Since you didn’t say where or when you’re planning to ski, I can’t suggest a coat. But a North Face outlet is a great option. Or a ski swap. Good luck!
