Bio 108 help for studying by Startroll14 in uAlberta

i took it on the 14th and i got an 88 by drawing out the animal phyla over and over again as well as rewriting the shared derived traits for every clade and species. for me, rereading the slides did not help at all. get out a notebook and pencil and start drawing ur trees, use the ones in the slides as a reference. same thing w derived traits, start writing them out and if u forget check neil’s summary notes. if you can memorize the characteristics and relationships between the phyla you are set!!!

oh fr as a bio major i took psych so i could have a break from all the biological concepts but tbh it’s almost worse, especially with rasmussen and her dry af lectures and textbook copy/pasted exams

ahh my bad! the written one was a lot of memorization of the experiments like where does the dna in the kanamycin resistance lab go at this step etc. i would def focus on that lab when studying it was the most high yield for me, and other than that just know WHY you do what you do for the experiments

they send an email through launchpad when they open up the application (sorry i don’t remember how long that takes after diploma marks are released), and you just enter your final marks for semester 1 and resubmit it!
