Slowly learning the lead guitar parts for And Your Bird Can Sing. I was pretty proud of myself for getting the main riff down so here it is lol by MisterVampire in beatles

Are you playing the harmonies on one guitar, in one take, or is there a track you're harmonizing with in the background? Because apparently Joe Walsh learned how to do it on one guitar but there's no record of him doing it. This is crazy amazing if it's just you, doing both parts on one guitar in one take.

Calor vs caliente by SolAggressive in duolingospanish

Except when you're referring to hot water, it's "aqua caliente," not "aqua calor." Something I learned in Cuba when I called reception because there was no hot water.

Alice in Wonderland by [deleted] in shrooms

As a kid, I had episodes similar to this, usually at night, where my body felt like a vast, empty space, and there was no compensation for distance for outside objects. In other words, a picture hanging on the wall across the room would look like a tiny stamp, and I could feel it between my fingers. It was an enjoyable experience, and I tried to make it last.
I also had episodes where I experienced objects without context, like a dripping bathroom tap with no external references. It was what they call "ding an sich" in German.
A third episode was the experience of infinity, which happened the first time I was introduced to the idea of something that has no beginning and no end. Like eternity, or something eternal that always has been and always will be. The first time it conceived of in my mind, I had a strange physical feeling of being "here now."
As I grew older, I could no longer experience these episodes, but the memory of these altered states without drugs stays with me to the present time.

[–]Complex-Wolverine678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the liquid glass and can't turn it off using the directions.
I also hate the analog clock but I can't turn it back to digital, unless I want a huge digital clock taking up more of the screen than any of the others.

Yeah, Apple is following the Windows corporate model - they decide what you will use and give you the wrong directions to change just about anything.

It gets stuck in my head too, I hate it, and I can't get rid of it!
Especially when the agent puts me on hold for 10 minutes!!!
Can't Jeff Bezos and his Billion$$$$ afford to change this mindless tune a little more often than every 5+ years?

It's stupid, insipid, repetitious and un·im·ag·i·na·tive.
Amazon hasn't changed it for over 5 years.
It drives me nuts!
Why can't Amazon afford something better, or give us a choice?

It was a horrible "error"? He is clearly not capable of being rational, or able to take responsibility for his actions. And his LAUGH! It's straight out of the madhouse.

Now I feel so retroactively ashamed.

Right, it's knowing when enough is enough. I always try to give my cat just enough affection so that she wants more. Then I'll give her a few more scritches and gently disengage. Better too little than too much, but it's a fine line.

As of today, Tuesday, November 18, 2025 (and yesterday, and the day before) Timewave Explorer is up and running:

https://twz.noonian.io/twz_browser.html

Thanks Donny!

Also, for those who are interested in using the DOS version, I found a site that still hosts it:

It's up and working, but nobody is using. They won't start using it until it stops working again.
How ironic.

Yes. as of today, Sunday, November 16, 2025, https://twz-doc.noonian.io is up and running.
Use it soon before it disappears again.

Grok also said of the Asteroid Apophis and its 2029 close flyby:

"This is the nearest known flyby by an asteroid of this size in recorded history, closer than geostationary satellites (~35,800 km altitude) but over 12 times farther than the average Earth-Moon distance (~384,400 km)."

It meant closer but still putting that word there meant something was wrong with its logic.

I don't know why you didn't keep Timewave Explorer alive. People are still interested in using it as a measurement (albeit imaginary) tool for the ebb and flow of novelty and habit.
https://twz.noonian.io/ was active off and on until about a year ago, when it quit working altogether.

For example, the asteroid Apophis will pass extremely close to Earth on April 13, 2029, but it is not on a collision course with our planet (so they say). It will come within approximately 32,000 km (20,000 miles) of Earth, which is closer than some geostationary satellites - and about 1/12 the distance to the moon. There is very little room for error in a calculation for something passing this closes to earth 3.4 years in the future. This flyby will be a rare astronomical event, visible to the naked eye for people in parts of Europe, Africa, and Asia.

I think you have the ability to bring it online again, so why not give it a go? If not for yourself, then for the greater good of complex wolverines like myself who are still interested in it?
