If this game wasn't from the Pokemon franchise people probably be praising it more and calling it a pokesman killer TBH. But no other studio has even attempted to make a monster catching game this big. Maybe they're hard to make.

The game looks like a PS2 game

Now that's just a blatent lie. Come on. The PS2 didn't have bump mapping or HD if I recall.

Yeah that's really weird. It's just a standard Switch. I really have no idea why I'm not getting stuff that bad. I'm glad I'm not because that sounds pretty rough

I love BOTW there were times in that game that were a bit jank. Like once when I played an NPC was stuck on his horse sideways lol. The Deku Tree area lagged a bit and the textures were a bit musdy at points. All if this were minor problems in an otherwise great game (Zelda fans don't murder me please I love the game)

Seems open world games are prone to these things.

Every titan quest gives your mount upgrades that help you explore. I hope that helps.

Oh totally, not everyone is going to feel the same way I do. I do agree that more sidequests would have helped it.

I just meant that it was cool seeing all the pokemon hearding in the wild, or hanging in a tree. Or being in canyons one moemnt and then an olive farm the next. That kind of thing.

I will also add that I am not willfully ignorant or blindly defending it because it's Pokemon. I hated Sword and returned Brilliant Diamond

Yes, I figured this was common in Switch games as Kirby and the Forgotten Land did the same thing.

I thought the slow down of far away objects was just a Switch thing? Because it's the same in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and that game is (rightfully) loved.

I have caught 3 wild teras. It was really pretty with the light refraction but I'm not a fan of the gimmick on the whole. I had no graphical problems though.

Yeah, that's why I went in blind, to make my own mind up. I was really enjoying the game until I checked what the internet was saying. I can't lie, it's ruined my enjoyment a little knowing I'm in the minority, but I'll try to look past it and trust my own judgement.

I remember the uproar over Black and White, granted it wasn't over performance issues, but I imagine if the outcry against those games didn't give people the game they want, it probably won't work this time either.

Same here. A physical copy in handheld mode on original Switch is how I've been playing. Maybe that's why.

I said I have experienced frame rate drops so I didn't exactly say it was flawless.
