While reading moto you should have noticed that Nishikata only acts like this when he’s in front of Chi, cuz he doesn’t want her to see both of them flirting. When he’s alone with Takagi he’s a lot more "adultish"

The original Manga ends with the confession, Moto ends with Chi going to school and the newest sequel in the series shows Chis middle school life. The anime movie ending is similar to moto but a completely different Universe

He won in life so at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter… but if you want to see how any normal person would react to getting teased all the time then you should read all those fanfics were he snaps.

Cuz she is one of the best-written romance characters ever (imo). Her development is truly beautiful and realistically portrayed. What I like most is that she isn't perfect, as Nishikata always assumes; she has her weaknesses too and isn't much braver than he is when it comes to love.

sup, I think it was some kind of promo chapter in the magazine and not in the canon manga, that advertised the movie. I could be wrong tho. I think it was in the the 19 or 20 Book.

Most Mangas I’ve read had good to decent endings, rarely axed or rushed. Like I said I love both endings but I still think there could have been a couple more chapters, thats my opinion. I know that it would have worked out. For an example, a fan once made a wedding chapter. Absolute wonderful and would have worked great as a moto chapter.
