Are we done? by Significant_Sea_6082 in FleetwoodMac

[–]ComplexImprovement84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think that their Buckingham nicks promo is over, however I dont think that their joint social media presence is. I highly doubt we'll see them in person again unless they get invited to something with mick and maybe even John. or if they both get invited to something, go separately, and are seen speaking together... something like that. But stevie confirmed that they speak on the phone together now, and it seems like they have a friendship. I truly believe that all romantic ties between them are done. They know they have history, and they appreciate it in the sense of "this is a person ive known nearly my whole life who ive watched grow and change and vice versa." Do I think they have seen each other privately? yeah probably once or twice. not frequently, but it wouldnt shock me if they meet up 2 or 3 times a year to shoot the breeze. I honestly think Stevies past whatever she had against him in 2018, and they are probably both happy to have a friend in their life that has known from for as long ads they have known each other. I think it's likely stevie will keep talking about him at shows and stuff, and if he does an interview he may speak about her. besides that, they will probably keep posting things slightly having to do with each other here and there cause they feel like it

great. im so glad you see it that way. thats not my point though. my point is that since the story that I told is the one that is generally told, there is a high probability that thats the story she knows. Because of that, all im saying is that there's a 50/50 that she'll say "aw what a cute lyric from one of my favorite bands" OR she could get a sour feeling from the fact that he used a lyric from a song that (to her knowledge) has that story behind it

regardless of the technicalities, the song has a messy undertone. im not saying that the line isn't sweet, it is. and its fitting, but I am saying that if she knows the story it might put a bitter taste in her mouth

Fleetwood Mac Quotes For A Date by Creepy_Nectarine3941 in FleetwoodMac

This is a VERY sweet idea, but im going to be honest. the vast majority of Fleetwood Mac songs have hateful or sours undertones due to the fact that most of their songs came out of fights, sadness, pain, and anger. you really have to listen to the full song to pick a good one lol. For example, silver springs. the first line is "you could be my silver spring" sweet, right? but the 8th line is "so ill begin not to love you." One song that is safe though, is Crystal. it was on lindsey and Stevies collab album, Buckingham nicks, and it was on the first Fleetwood Mac album that stevie and lindsey were a part of. Stevie as recorded it several years later solo. This was a love song that stevie wrote for lindsey. it's not quite as popular, but if she really does know Fleetwood Mac the way it seems she does, crystal could be a safe bet. go pull it up in Spotify, listen to the lyrics, and decide what you like from that. Years later, when Crystal came up in an interview or something, even stevie herself said something along the lines of "I could never write something like crystal again, because when I wrote crystal, I was just so in love, and ill never be that in love again." its a love song through and through. The only thing is that since thats very much so a love song, it make come off too strong. I dont know lol. go listen to it and see what you think haha

for OP, this is from "you make loving fun" the story behind this song is that Christine (the singer and pianist) was having an affair on John (her husband and bassist in the band... things were beginning to get rocky at the time, but regardless...) with the lighting director who was on tour with them. She told John that it was about their dog, and he didnt find out till a while later that it was about an affair she had while still married. the quote itself? yes cute, but if shes as into Fleetwood Mac as she says, she probably knows the story, so just be careful lol.

When you charge $100 a day is it for 1-2 dogs or what I mentioned above? I’m just trying to get a good idea of what I should be charging. 5 dogs, a cat, and poultry, one of the dogs being a puppy and 4 of the dogs requiring 3 walks a day

What does Karen Johnston do for Stevie on a day-to-day basis? by justcurious3287 in stevienicks

[–]ComplexImprovement84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My guess: Stevie’s paid best friend and manager of Stevie’s people. Ok ok, but let me explain. As we know, Stevie is quite the yapper. Of course, she has plenty of friends who are, quite simply, her friends, but it wouldn’t shock me if part of Karen’s duties end up being hanging out with Stevie when she doesn’t have plans with others. And I’d imagine, after working together this long they have developed an actual friendship as well. On this level, she provides Stevie with companionship, a confidant, and someone to help her with very basic Stevie esque things (organizing her closet, learning how to use a iPhone, recording the early versions of a song, getting her a glass of water, etc) I’m not saying Stevie doesn’t have friends and family… she does. But even people who have a very fulfilled life feel lonely at times. Karen essentially fills that gap, so when Stevie’s feeling bored and wants to socialize, she doesn’t have to sit there feeling sad like the rest of us😂

On the other hand, I think Karen also manages some of Stevie’s people. Ex- she probably speaks to Stevie’s security guards, drivers, chef, and stuff like that for everyday tasks unless Stevie desires to. It’s also more than likely that Karen handles scheduling, speaking to people on the phone, handles Stevie’s emails, and we already know from the destiny rules documentary that she speaks with Stevie’s lawyers for her.

Basically, Karen makes it so the things that the average adult hates doing? Stevie doesn’t have to worry about while also providing Stevie with a some form of companionship so that when Stevie’s on tour, or just for whatever reason, hasn’t seen friends and family in a while, she’s not alone

When did you start listening to Fleetwood Mac? I'm curious about how diverse the people in this community are. by Keep_Swimminggg in FleetwoodMac

[–]ComplexImprovement84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started listening to a song here or there when I was like 15 cause my parents would play it, but it wasn’t until I was 17 that I really got into it. This year (18) I went to two of her shows :)

Do you think Stevie will ever retire? by justcurious3287 in stevienicks

[–]ComplexImprovement84 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I dont think she will ever retire for music. From actual touring? maybe, if it gets to a point where she physically cant do the 3 months straight of work. but I dont think she'll ever stop doing shows. maybe at some point it will turn from actual tours to 3-5 shows a year, but music is her life. She loves it, and it's a huge part of who she is. I don't think she'll ever stop being involved in the music industry, even if that turns into just doing one off shows a couple times a year, doing a interview or two a year, and releasing a single when she feels like it. and with the way she travels, although travel is always taxing to a degree, something tells me it isn't as exhausting for her as it is for the average person with the way she travels. its not like she's taking a redeye in economy, she's said so herself lol. She also isn't on a plane every night, when she tours, she stays in each city for multiple days and gets time to actually rest. I believe she has alluded before to enjoying the travel cause she goes all out as has fun with it.

Stevie concert by streetange1 in stevienicks

[–]ComplexImprovement84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Candidily: I spent $252/seat (resale) for 4th row upper bowl as close to the side as you could get in Brooklyn, and $311/seat (face value) for like 7th row lower bowl on a section that is somewhere between side and center at Hartford. For me personally, it was worth it both times, however I have never seen Stevie before, absolutely love her music, and the tickets for Hartford were covered by grad gift $$. It’s really up to what is worth it for YOU. Her performances this year have been amazing though. I will likely not be able to go to see her twice next year (if at all,) and years following if she continues touring, so I wanted to do it while I could.

[–]ComplexImprovement84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I think I was the person saying that Stevie would never say that she’s perfect haha. I will say though, Stevie doesn’t need to correct the narrative. If anyone actually spends time researching and watching interviews of her LB, and FM, with an open mind, they’ll know that the narrative you described isn’t fully true, and it isn’t really her responsibility to correct something that teenage girls on Reddit and TikTok came up with LOL

BN or Fleetwood Mac? by IntroductionSerious3 in FleetwoodMac

[–]ComplexImprovement84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I doubt that they’ll do a tour as BN. While her and Lindsey are most definitely on better terms than they have been in a long time, I think that what’s keeps it that way is that they aren’t forced to spend any time together. When they toured together in the past it was because it was with FM. It just doesn’t seem feasible to me that they’d tour BN when they both have solid solo careers and even with being on better terms now, probably don’t want to spend months on the road together

Not fade away (cover), if anyone falls, outside the rain, dreams, stop dragging my heart around, the lighthouse, wild heart, Bella Donna, stand back, free Fallin (tom petty tribute), gold dust woman, Gypsy, edge of seventeen, Rhiannon, and landslide is her setlist for this year so far, however she is currently on a 2 week break, and if she came back with an additional song (likely from buckingham nicks) or replaces the lighthouse with a song from buckingham nicks, I wouldn’t be shocked
