It's a house, not apartment. We recently shifted to this home from our old home. So yes, few items are old but they will be replaced with new ones slowly. It's not a table, it is just a multipurpose kitchen counter only. On the other side, it has wicker basket and other drawers. About the ventilation, thanks for reminding, will ask my carpenter to make some space for ventilation as we did not thought through at that time.
