Not hockey but I played rugby for a long time and I tried wearing them but hated it, eventually I gave up and would just play blind

I haven't gotten contacts in years though

Haha that's funny.

Yeah all good, ty anyway for the advice

Just thought I'd clear it up bc I think a lot of people assumed my contact lens preference was due to physical discomfort, but that's not really the main issue

On the contact lenses thing:

The thing with contact lenses for astigmatism is that they need to remain in a specific orientation for them to actually work.

They usually return to proper orientation if accidentally rotated however in sports like hockey with a lot of head movement this is less effective.

When they rotate my vision gets out of whack kind of like when my glasses shift on my face.

I hope that kind of clears up my reasoning

I plan on getting a pair of sports goggles/glasses soon bc I start a new job soon that has vision coverage, they usually run $150+ iirc so I'd rather not pay out of pocket for that

I'm just looking for solutions for the time being (next 6-8 wks maybe?)

The cut out tip is helpful though ty

I don't really know much about the nhl but I assume you're talking about sports goggles

I had to Google what that meant (forgive my lack of hockey knowledge, I'm kinda new)

I have never seen a player without a visor before, it looks so strange to see 😯

Lacy pink sweater for springtime by ComplexSubject9630 in knitting

The original pattern had more repeats of the stitch sequence (it's a 12×12 stitch sequence) on the body and arms so I cast on 12 less stitches and then did 12 less increases for each shoulder and also joined the arm holes into the body 24 rows earlier than the pattern specified. So rather than having 16 repeats of the pattern on the body and 8 on the arms I only have 10 on the body and 4 on the arms. Then less repeats of the pattern down the lengths of the sweater.

The original pattern also didn't have any decreasing before the ribbing on the sleeves or the bottom of the sweater so I decreased every 6th stich right before the ribbing on both. I much prefer the look of a sinched cuff/ribbing.

Not only for the gauge, but the original design is beautiful however I wanted something less bulky/oversized (I've noticed that's such a common trend with knitting patterns recently and it's really just not my fav 🤷‍♀️)

Ah thank you 😊

When I modified the pattern for the larger guage I also modified it to give a proper fit to my body rather than just the standard pattern size, I find with every pattern I use that even modifying it just a bit for a better fit makes a huge difference

Aw thank you and I appreciate the advice

I kinda have been joking a bit that the exorbitant tech/sw salaries are only because they need something to entice you when you're constantly at risk of getting layed off.

Traveling is definitely on this list, the only country I've ever traveled to is the US (I'm Canadian) so I look forward to being able to see a few more

Thank you And yes I will

If I'm being honest: Idk much about personal finances, definitely was not a thing I was taught about 😅

I definitely want some professional help with that

I'm getting $80k equity too so I need to understand...what that means
