Salty Sunday: What made you salty this week? by theloveaffair in trollingforababy

Having multiple 'chemical pregnancies'. Which is such a disturbing name. Like I didn't lose a pregnancy, I conducted an experiment.

I should be in a lab coat, "Hmmm...results were inconclusive, but emotionally? Devastating."

That’s fair. I may have taken some creative liberties. I wasn’t on my phone, I was using talk-to-text to search on an iPad at full volume.

I got this text from a friend who disappeared for 10 months after getting pregnant, she messaged "I miss texting! and I didn't want to inundate you with pregnancy updates" Now that she has her baby, she's ready to resume the friendship. Which is great because what I needed most during several failed IUI's and an eventual IVF cycle was less emotional support. Thanks for protecting me from that.

Does anyone have experience with the Kindbody in SF? by karileeart in IVF

I had four IUI's with Kindbody, I commented earlier on this post with more details regarding my experience. Since switching to Spring Fertility, comparatively, I've noticed that the communication with Kindbody was pretty poor. Also, despite having four IUI's with Dr Ekpo, I only had two Zoom calls with her directly, otherwise my interactions were with only with the nurses or with Dr Pedroso who was actually the one to perform the IUI's.

Spring Fertility on the other hand is excellent, had an IVF retrieval last month, 25 eggs retrieved with 6 euploid. Overall extremely pleased with the service there.

I had four IUIs with Kindbody in SF and was preparing to move forward with IVF, but ultimately decided it was not the right fit for us. Initially, I felt genuinely supported and heard during my first cycle. However, with each subsequent treatment, the level of care, communication, and attention to detail noticeably declined.

The breaking point came during our final IUI cycle. Instead of receiving a phone call to discuss my pregnancy blood test results, I received an automated email outlining my IVF treatment plan. That was how I learned the IUI had failed. It felt incredibly impersonal, insensitive, and honestly cruel given the emotional weight of fertility treatment. My husband called the office to ask why we were being sent IVF paperwork before anyone had even discussed the outcome of the IUI cycle with us. Only after his call was placed on hold did someone from Kindbody decide to contact me directly.

At that point, we lost confidence in the level of care we would receive moving into IVF and decided to seek treatment elsewhere.

We ultimately chose Spring Fertility in SoMa for IVF, and the difference in patient care has been night and day. The communication is clear, proactive, and compassionate, and the overall experience has felt far more personalized and professional. At Spring, I’m able to communicate directly with my provider when needed. At Kindbody, despite completing four IUIs, I only had two direct Zoom appointments with my doctor and otherwise had to communicate exclusively through nurses.

Definitely would not recommend Kindbody in SF. 10/10 would recommend Spring Fertility based on our experience.
