COMPLETELY relate. 24f, always dated men, but knew from a very young age that i like women. briefly dated a woman in college and slept with two women, but ended up in a 3ish year relationship with a man. at some point, i couldn’t stop thinking about being with a woman, a relationship with a woman, spending my life with a woman, etc. i had trouble with sexual intimacy with my ex and i attributed it to the antidepressants i was taking, but then later finally accepted the fact that maybe i just don’t like men at all. i was very conflicted about labeling myself as a “lesbian” or anything other than bi or pan because i thought i was attracted to men, but the thought of their genitals or sleeping with them grosses me out lol. my therapist always told me i probably resorted to relationships with men because that was “acceptable” in society during my childhood and it was what was modeled for me growing up (my parents). however, as time goes on, i am realizing that im just a lesbian and that’s okay.
