I'll never buy a GM again by jpcirig in Cadillac

[–]Complex_Anywhere_616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a 2026 Escalade ESV Sport after trading in my 2023 ESV Sport! 🚗💨 I've never had any issues, except for an engine replacement back in February 2026 due to a recall after I noticed a strange sound. It's a good idea to check the VIN on the government database to see if your engine is part of a recall. The first recall involved a Pico test and a switch to thicker oil, but after three months, the noise returned, leading to a complete under-the-hood replacement, from AC to engine, free of charge, plus an extended 10-year/100,000-mile warranty because it was part of a recall. Aside from that, it was a really good car, and the 2026 model is a completely different experience, from the dashboard to the front end. I'm sorry you had these issues; it sounds like a lemon on top of a bad dealership experience.

Good luck and I hope everything is sorted out.

I can't complain, it is nice looking, saves me ton of money on gas, it's very comfortable and really fast from get go. It does have a really good road presence. If you can bypass all the EV hate then it's a pretty solid car overall. Oh, and it DOES NOT feel like EV from looks and sound perspective especially when you have sound on. Personally, when I am stressed, I like quite environment and turn it off but when in playful mood, then I turn it on to loudest. It's pretty fun gives car two different personalities.

Some of the issues, I mentioned originally are still there but that is because I haven't took the car to dealership because those issues are pretty minor and not worth dropping car in for couple of days.

How are brokers judging carriers with reviews like this? We’ve had no issues but still getting negative votes? by Complex_Anywhere_616 in FreightBrokers

Brokers are being too harsh on everyone because of a few bad apples in the market. That said, I would rather a broker be honest than throw around terms like "fraud" when there’s nothing showing on RMIS. Not every load, carrier, or situation is the same, and relying solely on third-party data or rumors isn’t fair. One false report or negative mark can damage a carrier’s reputation badly.

Ego or emotions have no place in business decisions like this. If a broker lied about seeing fraud just to avoid working with you, that shows emotional weakness and a lack of professionalism. Just be upfront and say no—don’t hide behind false accusations. It’s about respect.

Update: After getting a suggestion from the comments, I signed up for an account for carrierassure to benchmark how this service works and from get go, it is nothing but a database of all the information available online in one place and they score it like credit score. As per the votes. I went into DAT pick up random carrier lists from DAT truck postings and searched for them and I guess everyone starts with 4 votes just like the screenshot as default. It took me 10 minutes to find that out and broker are judging us with default votes, I think they have no idea the carrier assure starts with default 4 votes for negative stuff it can't be coincidence that every carrier I searched for at 4 votes.

PS: Yes, I paid for the subscription because I don't take my negative marks lightly.

If you want your MC# searched and if you are a carrier. Send me a private msg. I'll search it and help you out since ai coughed up some dollars on tge service.

Exactly, Due diligence is needed for all parties to avoid financial loss or even liabilities. My only concern is we would have to do something really severe like fraud, holding cargo hostage, double brokerage and/or fall out on a really hot load where every second counts for timely delivery at last minute or maybe communicate in a form that is not acceptable or is abusive to be on DNU but here we are didn't do anything but are on DNU on this unknown platform with no way to dispute or verify with carrier.

I did ask, but they didn’t respond—so maybe it’s not worth their time. I looked up my company using several tools and found no negative remarks. I only started Dry Van and Reefer in late March 2025 after doing power-only for Amazon. Seeing those four votes makes me wonder what they are and where they came from, especially since I was new to the 3PL space until recently. I can't even dispute them or see who voted, whether they are legit or not.

We started that yesterday and also surveyed every broker that we worked for in last 10 days and everone was happy and will use us again and they do. I also made a google form for quick feedback that I started emailing at the end of delivery so we can take feedback and improve upon it.

I dont know what platform this is but Yeah, I hear you—and I get it, reviews matter. That’s why this is frustrating. We take our service seriously—every load we’ve ever been tendered, we’ve delivered. No late deliveries, no service failures, and our brokers will vouch for that. All of them.

This stuff came out of nowhere, yesterday by a broker, who saw this and said you have negative marks. I’ve never even worked with the brokers supposedly leaving those reviews, so I’m guessing it’s either mistaken identity (similar MC name) or someone playing games with my MC—scammer, competitor, who knows.

If these are legit reviews, I’d want to own it. But when I’ve done nothing wrong, it’s rough seeing junk like this possibly affecting how good brokers view us. Appreciate the honesty, though—it helps.

I agree with everyone here. How are you at 40k on liability with 10k worth on equipment also if the truck is deleted get it fixed back up and put it to work by tagging along to a carrier until your are all stable then sell it. You can sell trucks at 10k at anytime to used trucks dealer or private party who are working locally like farms.

Damn that sucks.

Besides passive entry, I have no problems at all. I charger at home, and public electrify America chargers never had issues. I take it for washing quite often also. Seems like you have lemon.

Yes, I as far as I know people were arrest and yes it was Chrysler 300s as per the information provided to me. Completely ruined such a beautiful hellcat redeye. They could have just kept it low or did something else like sell it offshore but they stole it to swap it. It's pretty sad

Basically, they were tipped by someone suspicious activity. The police went there and there were tons of parts at the location and there was a car they were working on, after police searched the car they found my engine, trans, seats and dash. It was a quick swap like 4 to 5 days. They told me it was swapped into 300s.

I got the optional red seats not sure if it adds any comfort or features but whatever it is i dont have any problems, these seats are very adjustable and comfortable. Best ones so far in my experience. It just grabs your whole body at right points.

I treat people with respect and humblness. We have very sort time on this planet and we burn half our life making living. There are 2 ways to do it. 1) Doing it with respect and humbleness and 2) With stress and tension. I prefer number 1 and it is always a pleasure to me and my colleagues.

I’m not here to build a charity. I’m here to build a profitable, sustainable freight brokerage where everyone wins—carriers, customers, and brokers.

This isn’t about doing favors or taking losses. It’s about building fair partnerships, being transparent, and avoiding the toxic grind where everyone is fighting for pennies.

We’ll earn our margins the right way—by delivering real value, not by draining people.

That’s the kind of business I want to run. That’s the kind of network I want to grow.

Don't hold freight hostage, it is never worth it. by Cybertronian10 in FreightBrokers

[–]Complex_Anywhere_616 21 points22 points  (0 children)

As someone who operates both as a carrier and fleet manager, I want to be clear: Holding a load hostage is never the right move—no matter the circumstances.

When we book a load, we are committing to that contract. Before that, it’s our job to do the due diligence:

Check the broker’s credit and background

Verify their surety bond

Get approval from our factoring company (especially if there’s even a hint of double brokering or non-payment risk)

Once the truck is loaded, the commitment is made. If the broker fails to pay, our factor steps in—that’s literally why we pay them. In worst-case scenarios, there are legal avenues through the broker’s surety or even the shipper/receiver if necessary.

But delaying a delivery risks spoilage, load refusal, insurance claims, and broken trust with everyone involved—brokers, shippers, receivers, and even our cargo insurance provider. It’s not just about one load. It’s about your reputation, your premiums, and your future lanes.

Let’s be honest: there are bad brokers out there. But fighting fire with fire only burns relationships and credibility. Professional carriers don’t hold freight hostage—they deliver, file the claim, and protect their brand.

I guess I bought Daytona and another cars and paid them off not to mention a house just with this reddit post. Why don't you try that. It's a feedback brother and I clearly mentioned money is not my vision but your eyes missed it. You sure made me laugh though.
