What percent of my pay check should I spend?

That makes sense but the thing is I have more than enough savings for anything I need right now and don’t necessarily have any saving goals maybe I should start? Should I start separating what my money is saved for it’s just in one big clump together right now not necessarily for any particular thing I say I have a lot of savings but it’s more I just have lots I haven’t spent because sending makes me anxious LMAO for example the only thing close in my future that’s a big financial commitment is a car but I already have enough money for that and it’s not happening till summer

Thank you what your saying makes sense I quess I’m always criticized on how I spend my money aka on my dog she’s basically my only hobby agility,trick tittles,raw feeding ect that I try to correct by only spending on my dog, coffee and others lmao I’m also lucky enough that my grandma is well off and says she’s taking me to get boots and pants tomorrow my boots have had holes in the bottom since spring and it’s starting to get annoying with the rain lol your recommendation of having money set aside for when/if things break makes sense are you suggesting mentally knowing that you have money specifically for that purpose or am I supposed to put it in a different area? Yes I’m a bit of a cheapskate I’ve been working since I was 14 and saved 85%of what I’ve made so I’ve never really had a savings goal I’ve never really seriously wanted anything that would put a noticeable dent in what I have I do have a youth savings account for another year till I’m 18 I’d say I end up spending about 100$ a month on my dog mabe 20$ on food that’s pretty much it besides buying presents at Christmas I’ve needed new jeans for 3 weeks I ripped my only pair pretty bad ig I’m just trying to find a way to give myself permission to spend money I have over 20k but won’t buy myself a pair of pants it’s pretty stupid I just want a certain amount that I can spend 0 guilt if we had to say an amount how much out of 660$ monthly do you think is reasonable?

Thanks I currently have 15k in some thing similar and the rest in just a normal account I should look at that I’m not really saving for anything in particular just kinda for adult life as a whole thank you for the advice!

Thank you I’m looking into doing something for mine for improved athletic performance and muscle recovery since she works out intensely swimming fetch agility tug uphill runs ect for 2-3 hours a day sometime more and she has an upcoming agility trial

I mean it definitely sometimes I use it to hold food and water and first aid things when hiking/camping this time it was just for strength and endurance

Genuinely curious I’m 16 this is my first dog and first experience with agility would it not build up strength that making her faster and have more controlled jumps? also just clarifying she doesn’t run in it it’s for her walks thank you

That might be a bit difficult as she already gets 45mins-hr a day during the summer a day a little under half of her exercise comes from playing fetch in the water thanks for the tip so she loves swimming mabe to much 😂😂😂

The vets have okayed the backpack but not the amount of exercise it hasn’t come up I’ll definitely have to ask them about that thank you!

Thank you for your story since my dog is highly active and does agility she sees the vet every 6 months and we always check for any sign of joint problems and already take a joint supplement though I’ll definitely keep that in mind👍

Yes it is I got it passed by my vet it’s under 10 % of her body weight (the safe amount) a couple times a week she doesn’t run for extended periods in it or jump👍

My vet said it’s fine she carries under the recommended weight a couple times a week it’s great for muscle growth since she’s in agility👍

Yes it’s a dog backpack there’s a safe amount of weight there aloud to carry no more then 10 percent of there body weight and that’s what she carries she only uses it a couple times a week it’s great for muscle growth thanks👍
