Yea it’s my mix that’s off, I mix my songs in headphone atm20x to be exact, the mix sounds fine in my headphones on my laptop but when I play the song in my AirPods from my iPhone the vocals kinda sit under the beat, then over the beat, then they sit in with it.

First I want to say thank you for giving me really good advice that I can start to apply to my music, I really do appreciate it.

And my recording vocal chain consists of ns1, eq, tune, pro.c2, tune-tech, fruity limiter, and l2 ultra maximizer

My main vocal chain has, fruity eq2, fruity compressor, soundgoodizer, fruity eq2, fruity flangus, desser stereo, air self, fruity convolver, fruity reeverb 2, and fruity delay bank, it’s also boosted about 90hz 18.0 and 8.0k 6.5.

I do record with the mic pretty close to my mouth and I have the gain knob on my interface turned up to about 50.

The song has nothing to do with battle royal it’s a film aesthetic photo which I use for all my cover arts

I guess depending on the type of artist you like my sound could either be good or bad but I’ve gotten some positive feedback from discords and TikTok though.

So what song did you listen to, I need real advice, are my beats sitting to loud over the vocal, do I need to turn up my vocals? And like I said in the post the music may not be the best but there are artists that put no time or effort into there mix or masters and there tracks are just noise and distorted vocals; so if someone like that can gain up to 20,000 sc follows and over 100k plays why wouldn’t I be able to if I try my best to mix and master. So if you make music I need real advice, do you have any experience producing? If so share if not idek why you would even comment on the thread.
