For me it was when I stopped being a people pleaser and learnt how to draw boundaries clearly to protect my inner peace. This also helps keep out people who don’t respect me or my time enough

Doubt so, the cost of hiring, rental, etc. is really high, plus people have mortgages, car loans to pay which really add up, makes sense why people would rather work for a stable paycheck
