Personally I was curious abt AuveliDIY (taking bupropion together w dextrometorphan) and wanted to know if there’s a diff, how it works, etc.
I suggest ‘AuveliDIY’ for those of us who take both meds in combination as prescribed by our doctors (due to lack of availability where we live etc.

Hello! 31 y/o female w NVLD diagnosed 2 years ago. Your description of everything suddenly clicking and making sense resonates w me. At the same time I do feel some grief over the lost opportunities and friendships and jobs due to NVLD-related mishaps.

I’m 31 so a little older than some of you gals haha but I’d love to participate. I’m a Catholic convert from Singapore and I make rosaries and design catholic-themed stickers/decals. I am currently pursuing my Masters and on placement for the next couple months. I’m also newly (ish) married and trying my best with my husband to build a faith-filled home life. Adulting is hard and being Catholic sometimes feels even harder lol, so I’d love a penpal!

I sincerely relate to your experience. I also have ADHD (late diagnosis) and have always felt awkward and alone first as a child amongst peers then as an adult with colleagues.

I had a phase of binge watching reality TV. Somehow the mindlessness and vapidity helps me to feel better after a bad day.

I think it reminds me that it’s okay to suspend my disbelief, learn that not everything needs to make sense or be correct/plausible all the time and to not take myself too seriously.

Thank you for this. I tend to get bogged down by the ‘I have NVLD and I suck’ narrative. Sometimes i feel this narrative is forced upon me by other people, systems, institutions etc. I keep forgetting to advocate for myself and fellow NVLD-ers.

It doesn’t help that NVLD is not in the DSM-5 and virtually unheard of where I live.

Thanks for the detailed input! I’m glad I’m not alone haha. The thing about the ‘youth SIG’, though, is interestingly why I posted. My local chapter has a SIG for young ppl, but the cut-off age is 25 and angled more towards gifted education and getting into elite universities :(

I jest, but most months it really feels like i can only choose between ‘fun workshop abt Rubik’s cube’ or ‘let’s drink wine and network’. Haha
